BIG NEWS: John Bolton Confirmation Battle Really, Really Dead

I don't think bolton was put there at all to 'wag the middle finger at the U.N.' but to show some backbone and hold the u.N. accountable for its actions, which has not been done for a long, LONG time!

After the Chavez speech and all the U.N. reps who stood up in support, though, $crew 'em! Time to shut that criminal money-pit down!

Well, the way I see it... If we are not going to do the "U.N. thing", then fine.

If we ARE going to keep involved, we don't need to "half-***" the job.
We need to get someone who is going to speak up for America while still being capable of compromising with the other nations.

Absolutely not. In the days of our founding fathers, America made its own treaties with other nations, and in the process, did not surrender any soverignty. That is what we should go back to.

I really respect Bolton, sure he is a raging a-hole, but that is exactly what we need at the U.N. It is high time we stop playing games with the U.N, we don't need wimpy diplomats there, we need strong voices, we need folks exactly like Mr. Bolton, I think this is really the last chance we have at reform there.

Yeah, but if we kicked out the UN now, Chavez would claim a victory. Go figure.
Hmmm... Here's a thought: let's send the UN to Caracas. That way Crazy Hugo can declare himself Sec'y Gen. for the next 37 years.
