A must-read for anyone who wants to understand why we're seeing such high levels of inflation and to understand how Team Biden is lying to you.

The debt financed tax cuts during an expansion along with the increased spending starting in 2020 has brought us here. The attempt to lay all the blame on what has occurred since January of 2021 is unreasonable.

the only dishonest idiots are the ones blaming Biden, right wing traitor trolls

As has been already explained, inflation is caused by the pandemic, and now Russia invading Ukraine which raised gas prices, oh, and price gougin

Nobody is going to read your moronic troll link from garbage sites. And I know you won't respond with anything other than more moronic trolling

Deman d was down during pandemic, production decreased, workers were laid off. Things opened up (if you want to blame Biden for securing vaccines and testing to help open things up again, fine, but that is what right wing whiners wanted the entire time). production hasn't ramped up. Also, the pandemic was worldwide and many places still dealing with it. Even now, places across thew orld are going into lockdown. We are a global economy so things happening in other countries affect. People struggling to find workers as well

2. War by russia raised the prices of oil worldwide. Greedy countries making killing don't want to increase production to reduce prices since they are making a killing. And oil companies making so much profit they are gouging. No president controls oil prices

Anyway, the same typical traitor troll moronic shit that's been refuted over and over and over again

Putting it bluntly , even very ordinary and limited people understand inflation, if only in terms of , " Prices are up .''

And such people detest being spoken down to . (Bit like my treatment of the Gullibles here !! ).

The further damage that this will do to the Dementia Kid is huge . Final nail?

The premise is false from the very first word. The Whitehouse is not trying to blame inflation from before putin's aggression on him. They are saying the war will extend and aggravate it.

Next fauxrage please.

Reason is a terrible source, and it's a completely partisan/biased article. Terrible recommendation. It focuses almost exclusively on attacking Joe Biden's infrastructure plan, and doesn't appear to be focused on reality.

I suggest something like this gives a more realistic picture:

Controlling inflation is one of the main tasks of the Federal Reserve. The February CPI inflation data serves as yet another reminder that the Fed has more than enough reasons to start raising interest rates and tightening monetary policy.

Elevated inflation has been driven by supply chain disruptions and pent-up consumer demand for goods following the reopening of the economy in 2021. Should these issues resolve themselves, the Fed may not have as much work to do on the inflation front as some fear.

People are noticing the hikes at the pump, as the Russian invasion of Ukraine caused oil prices to surge, which helped drive gasoline to all-time highs.

Or AP:
Suddenly, businesses had to scramble to meet demand. They couldn’t hire fast enough to fill job openings — a near record 10.9 million in December — or buy enough supplies to meet customer orders. As business roared back, ports and freight yards couldn’t handle the traffic. Global supply chains became seized up.

Or AP:

Some quotes from your preferred link:
Last year, it was a nasty surprise. And it wasn’t supposed to last.
The Federal Reserve didn’t anticipate an inflation wave this severe or this persistent. In December 2020, the Fed’s policymakers had forecast that consumer inflation would stay below their 2% annual target and end 2021 at around 1.8%.
For months, Fed Chair Jerome Powell and others characterized higher consumer prices as merely a “transitory” problem — the result, mainly, of shipping delays and temporary shortages of supplies and workers as the economy rebounded from the pandemic recession much faster than anyone had anticipated.

It sounds like Team Brandon has been caught off guard and unprepared, and have been making excuses ever since.

Now the excuse is Russia.

Biden and his crew are just ignoring the past year prior to Putins invasion. Fuel for instance was up $1 a gallon long before Putin moved on Ukraine. But hey, you can't really expect Joe to remember that, it was beyond his capacity to recall.

I like your use of "Team Biden" instead of the "Biden Administration."

President Biden is way past his use date.

So he deserves neither praise nor criticism.

All decisions are made by his "team," and he officially ratifies and announces them.

(I assume that Dr. Biden is among his most trusted "advisers.")

The markets are not Biden, but they are influenced and impacted by the decisions of the Biden Administration and Congress. The Federal Reserve is not Biden, but the Chairman is nominated by Biden. The bottom line is that both have been scrambling to point fingers at everything other than their own policies and practices over the last two years as the cause for inflation.

And yeah, they all deserve to be called out. Especially after the fed said inflation would be “temporary” only to turn around and say that their definition of “temporary” is so nebulous that no one can define what it means. So yes, it is very disingenuous to blame Putin for an extended period of inflation considering the fact that long before the war in Ukraine the Fed admitted in a round about way that it doesn’t know what the **** it’s talking about. That’s what happens when you take a scattershot approach to the economy and spend two years throwing trillions of dollars around willy nilly.

Wow, listen to you, all puffed up!
Is Biden responsible for inflation in Britain and Europe too?
Economic booms usually involve inflation and what's happening is the first stage of a post-pandemic boom. Expect more inflation and rising interest rates. Good if you have money, bad if you have debt.

Negligible influence. The markets were responding to the global pandemic and the resulting global supply chain crunch. Not "Biden". Be serious.
The Federal Reserve is not Biden, but the Chairman is nominated by Biden.
Also irrelevant. The Fed operates independently, by design. They are appointed for 14 years and their decisions are not controlled by the U.S. government tin any meaningful way.

The Fed has to assume it's temporary, because the causes they are pointing to are "temporary". But other issues arise which may have extended that temporary prediction (Russian sanctions for example), lack of the supply chain to recover quickly, etc.
The Fed will not try to correct if it thinks the markets will relatively quickly resolve something on its own...it runs the risk of over-correction then.

Markets have volatility...stop acting like this has anything meaningful to do with Biden.

“Markets have volatility” is not the answer to a 40 year high in inflation with no signs of stopping while the Fed sits with its thumbs up it’s *** for three years. It’s not just going to go away by itself.

The economy is booming. That's the reason for inflation. Inflation doesn't happen in flat-line economies, it happens in boom times.

"The American economy expanded an annualized 7% on quarter in Q4 2021, slightly higher than 6.9% in the advance estimate and in line with market forecasts. It remains the strongest expansion since a record growth of 33.8% in Q3 2020. "

The Fed admitted they don’t know anything. It is Biden’s responsibility not to make matters worse with his policies.

Well, you think you understand.... If your blaming Biden for inflation, then you do not have a grasp on what's happening. In Canada, gasoline's nearly $8.00 a gallon now. The entire planet Is suffering from runaway inflation right now. If, as MAGA claims, Biden were responsible for our Inflation, then, said Inflation, wouldn't be happening Worldwide. But MAGA is either to stupid to understand this or just trying to hammer more unwarranted bad press on Biden. Bad press, which I might add, has been very effective at hurting Bidens popularity.

And such people detest being spoken down to .

Nobody enjoys being corrected. But once you have been corrected, and it's a viable correction, you should accept it, admit you were wrong, and move forward. But MAGA doesn't do that. No matter how absurd a statement Donald makes, MAGA blindly accepts it and agrees. Whatever Donald says, MAGA will fall into lockstep behind him. MAGA is a cult. An extremely dangerous cult. Of which you Monica, appear to be a member.

. (Bit like my treatment of the Gullibles here !! ).

In reality you are one of the gullible's here. Just look at all the conspiracy theories you endorse. As I said, MAGA is a very dangerous cult.

The further damage that this will do to the Dementia Kid is huge . Final nail?

I do find validity in this statement. The alt-right MSM propaganda machine has been extremely effective in hammering down Bidens popularity. Nazi Joseph Goebbels said “Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth”. It one of the laws of effective propaganda. So, congratulations are in order. The cult you belong to is now the biggest propaganda machine since WW2.

It's my contention that your opinions are nothing more than that of just one more armchair general parroting unsubstantiated alt-right MSM propaganda. If Biden is so culpable for inflation in America, how is it that the rest of the planet is also suffering from runaway inflation? If Biden is responsible for our high petrol prices, is he also to blame for gas being $8.00 a gallon in Canada?

It's the beginning of the post-pandemic boom and whether he deserves it or not Biden will get credit for it. That causes wailing and gnashing of teeth on the right.
Same thing happened 100 years ago after the Spanish flu pandemic. Get ready for another Roaring Twenties. Just hope it doesn't end the same way.

I'd like to see all the negative alt-right MSM propaganda end. But I have very little confidence that that will occur. It would take a renaissance of enlightenment for that to happen, and I have very little faith in the emotional growth of my fellow man. Team Bidens going to have to completely revamp their media output if they're going to stand a chance against the deluge of anti Biden garbage packing our news feeds.

You seem to be doing everting in order avoid what is being proven to be the central cause of inflation: both the fed and federal government injected excessive levels of stimulus into an already recovering economy.

IMO, anyone who cannot acknowledge that as at least a factor is working an agenda.

Biden and the fed are only in charge here in America. Are we to be led to believe that the Global runaway inflation was caused by them as well?

How ironic. You say this while completely ignoring that the rest of the planet is suffering from the same inflation we are. What an amazing economy you have with logic.
