doc told me no computer time for a couple days for each eye afterwards. no driving either.
I have immunocomprmised and elderly to take care of. and my boss want me working till after the buying season

Locals are not being informed of the scope and size. I can't say exactly what is being told by DHS/HHS
but whatever is being told is not supporting the extra services that will be required by local government
Which means those here will see higher local taxes, and see the demand for services impacting availability

Pretty sure none of this is happening in a vacuum. I imagine there is an extensive documentary process these sponsoring families must undergo first that involves the federal and local levels of government for them to become approved as caretakers for these migrants and I imagine when the number of sponsoring families reaches a certain level or number in a state these flights are then put together to maximize cost effectiveness and efficiency. I'm sure that these sponsoring families must be able to meet a certain threshold of ability to be able to provide and care for these migrants for approval so I wouldn't think the burden on local government would be all that much really. I also see no good reason why these flights should be publicized beforehand. Especially given the certain level of crazy we have been seeing from certain segments of the population on these kind of issues that would perhaps make their safety and the safety of the sponsoring families a valid area for concern.

They have produced a good amount of coverage for their local news broadcasts.
