Every socialist program is funded with tax money so not sure what you are getting at there. Social Security is a wealth transfer from workers to the retired. As far as Medicare goes, almost everyone on it will get at least twice as much in benefits as they ever paid into the program. Just because some socialist policies have already infected America is no reason to totally abandon freedom for the ruthless oppression of communism. Maybe welfare is socialist.
