The sheriff in Portland explains the situation.

On Sunday, Aug. 30, I read that Governor Kate Brown announced a new plan to address the lawlessness happening in Portland. I was surprised to read that the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office was part of the plan, since the Governor’s Office never contacted me.

Had Governor Brown discussed her plan with my office, I would have told her it’s about changing policy, not adding resources. Increasing law-enforcement resources in Portland will not solve the nightly violence, and, now, murder. The only way to make Portland safe again is to support a policy that holds offenders accountable for their destruction and violence. That will require the DA to charge offenders appropriately and a decision by the Multnomah County Presiding Judge not to allow offenders released on their own recognizance, and instead require bail with conditions. The same offenders are arrested night after night, only to be released by the court and not charged with a crime by the DA’s Office. The next night they are back at it, endangering the lives of law enforcement and the community all over again.

For all of us in law enforcement, keeping our community safe is our first priority. Had Governor Brown asked me, I would have told her that no amount of human resources will stop the “cycle of violence” (her term) that is making Portland unsafe. For that to occur, the criminal justice system will need do its part and hold offenders accountable.

Those who unfairly blame Trump for the deaths are clearly partisan scorners and liars intent on turning the COVID tragedy to their dirty political party advantage.

Trump caught on quick. You don't give partisan wolves information they are going to twist to use against you in every detail they possibly can. Look at what the scumbags did to Flynn by pretending to just be giving him a friendly briefing pertaining to his new job. Comey sent the dogs in illegally with the express intent on trapping him on something they could turn against him. They told him they were not investigating him but were secretly recording him without his knowledge and used what he said as if he was testifying under oath in a criminal trial. The scumbags in the FBI who did this even said among themselves they did not think Flynn lied and they admitted that he did nothing wrong by talking with the Russian and said nothing wrong to the Russian.

I am ashamed of our government officials who still to this day unjustly harass and persecute Flynn simply because he worked for Trump and was coming into a new job where he was going ton get a clear inside look at everything the Obama officials had been illegally doing to spy on Trump. If true justice were done, many of those officials, including prosecutors and judges, would be facing jail time for their own crimes against the innocent.

My advice to Trump: Never give those rabid dogs in the Obama/democrat camp your tax returns or anything else.
