Biden ends GOP infrastructure talks, starts new negotiations

Trump is out of office, this is about Biden's Infrastructure boondoggle, massive spending bill to buy votes. Your hatred of Trump didn't resonate in your state that voted for Trump. Isn't it possible that you are just to biased, partisan, and out of touch with reality? Why is it the left never tells us what good results come from liberalism? Look at all those pretty tent cities all over the country in liberal states and blue cities.
I have already commented that California's mild climate and compassionate citizens attract the downtrodden in our society. You find it disgusting yet the most poverty stricken States are nearly ALL Red and voted for the one term mistake. Is being the poorest in the nation the "results" you expect from Red states?

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the national poverty rate was 10.5% percent or 34 million Americans in 2019. These states and territories have the highest percentages of poverty in the country: Puerto Rico, Mississippi, Louisiana, Kentucky, Arkansas, West Virginia, Alabama, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and South Carolina.

I gave you the list of items that aren't infrastructure which of course you ignored
So?

Your acceptance of the proposed legislation isn't a matter of either contention or debate. Nobody really cares if you support this or not... it will however become law whether you like / accept it or not.
totally ignore where the excise tax dollars went which were also used to fund items other than infrastructure throughout the years.
We've already established a severe funding shortfall. Again, just because you refuse to accept it doesn't negate the need and this proposed legislation. It will be passed whether you like / accept it or not.

Biden's infrastructure package is going to pass on the basis of reconciliation. There is nothing the GOP can do to stop it.

Whine... cry... throw a tantrum...

It won't change a damn thing. You know this, and it makes you so very angry.

He doesn't accept anything above simple addition and subtraction at this point. You'll hear something to the effect of, "Tell people living in California tent cities about percentage of poverty or homelessness and see if they care!"

Of course, the sentence structure will be that of a juvenile or ESL adult when he mutters it.

And what you prove is that infrastructure is whatever the left wants it to be and spending money is all the left does well. Doesn't matter to you what the money goes for does it as it is just support for Biden and buying votes. You like far too many liberals are intellectually challenged with no idea what taxes you pay and their purpose. You totally ignore state and local taxes for infrastructure and ignore how tax collections have been abused by bureaucrats for decades and never held accountable for that abuse.

you keep buying the liberal rhetoric, keep buying that FIT and CIT need to be raised because of abuse of payroll tax dollars, keep supporting the unified budget showing exactly how intellectually challenged the left is

The same for you for all you offer are opinions
It isn't an opinion that Biden's infrastructure is likely to pass without a single GOP vote.

It isn't an opinion that the infrastructure package will help millions of people and businesses.

It isn't an opinion that the better the economy and the country, the worse off it is for GOP politician's election chances.

You want the country to suffer as an excuse to elect Trump cultists. It's not going to happen... and that angers you beyond belief.

Tent cities get how much?

No, that’s not what I saw....

Trump was offering 1.8 million ”dreamers” a path in exchange, funding for his wall was included. So, rather than give Trump a small piece of his campaign promise, Pelosi and Democrats scuttled the deal, even though it was going to give them more than double the number of dreamers.

I think your analysis is clouded....
Yeah.. I think your recollection is a bit murky:

A timeline of DACA offers Trump has rejected

Yes spending money, creating tent cities, poverty and typical liberal results. Makes you feel great doesn’t it
Tent cities are a byproduct of capitalism. In accept this and vote to increase social safety nets.

Why don't you tell us how much goes to tent cities since that is your argument. Ohb that's right... it's just an angry old man's pathetic attempt to get the last word.

By all means... you now have my permission to have it.

Why do you hate federal infrastructure?

Weak strawman.

Sure they are in liberal cities all over the nation. Your ideology destroys incentive, creates dependence and more spending in the name of compassion disguised as infrastructure

This sentence isn't based on reality (nor is it coherent). Poverty is a byproduct of capitalism.

What's awesome is that, in a nation where bridges just collapse without warning, infrastructure is "pork".

This is really the main reason the GOP has gone downhill. They can't do anything constructive anymore.

While the GQP bickers about the price tag, China is building massive infrastructure projects right and left.

You are a byproduct of capitalism as someone who couldn't compete dependent on liberal wealth redistribution

Your comment has no place in this discussion. It's just an ad hom lacking creativity.

Nah, I for one would love it if just one bill Biden proposed wasn't loaded with pork....Our real infrastructure needs attention like yesterday.

Everything from underground sewar systems, to bridges, to highways, to our electric grid...All of these need a massive overhaul....And I think those in the GOP would agree...Problem is though that Democrats can't resist loading up these massive bills where 5 or 10% go to the problems at hand, and the rest is loaded with Democrat wish lists of spending that has nothing to do with what it is supposed to be for...

Seriously dude.. you have to stop listening to they hype. First.. there is ALWAYS pork.. doesn;t matter if its democrats or republicans. the only thing that changes is who defines what "pork is". The republican party will kick back billions in new subsidies for oil and gas companies.. and agriculture.. for their donors.. while lambasting the democrats for spending on getting free lunches during the summer for kids.

It's over, GQP. The adults are in charge and they're going to show America how infrastructure is done. With the GQP out of the way, we're going to get a much better deal.

Oh, and since these are going to be a series of project funding, they get to go through the reconciliation process. No need to override the filibuster. :)

No more Lucy and the football!

OK Show us all how prohressives know better whats best for us than we do. Go it alone, take all the credit for what works and accept all the blame for what doesnt. Seems simple enough to me.

And Republicans will take credit for any and all infrastructure improvements in their districts and states just like they did for the American Rescue when not one R voted for it .:sneaky:
you mean like the way biden is taking credit for a vaccine that he had nothing to do with?

One sticking point - Rich folks refuse to raise taxes on rich folks.
