Better late than never but WTF was the holdup? Ukraine needed these weapons on hand in the first day of the invasion. Now it may be too little too late and actually getting these weapons in theater is going to be extremely difficult.

“Ukraine has been asking for Javelin anti-tank weapons and Stinger missiles to shoot down aircraft.”

Still wondering what was the delay I did a little research and found it was because as usual Biden is a bumbling indecisive ****ing moron.

“Biden admin carefully examining legal issues around providing arms to Ukraine”

“Amid widespread calls to help Ukraineresist a Russian invasion, the Biden administration is carefully examining legal questions about whether the United States can provide certain weapons and intelligence, multiple Congressional officials briefed on the matter tell NBC News.

Biden administration officials insist the lawyering is part of a normal review process, while Republicans in Congress — and some Democrats — have complained that it is slowing down what should be an immediate effort to ramp up weapons deliveries to Ukrainian forces.”

From the article cited in the OP - The White House has rejected the criticism, saying it has acted rapidly to provide more than $650 million in military assistance over the past year. Officials have also noted that President Donald Trump delayed a military aid package to Ukraine and never provided Stinger missiles or other air defenses, which require many months of training.

Democrats counter that given Trump’s record on Ukraine — he was impeached for delaying a lethal aid package for personal political reasons — Republicans have no leg to stand on in this debate.

seems people on the right want the US to be the first in to give aid to all these other countries but when it happens and we Have a DEM President they start getting up in arms about the debt and running that up
it doesn't matter what Biden does he is damned if he does something and damned if he doesn't
what ever he does they will NOT be happy
They Never are
Have a nice day

Russia wasn’t invading when Trump was president so your “but Trump “ response falls on its face.
In the present Biden wasted time consulting lawyers instead of acting quickly and decisively . Russian helicopters flying relatively unmolested in Ukraine could have been grounded if Biden had sent stingers immediately and acted in a timely fashion. Approving these weapons now may be too little too late and they may never even get into the hands of Ukraine fighters.

Republicans wanted us to drop our allies and ally with Russia. So the bullshit they say now should be take with all the salt one can find.

Poor attempt to derail the thread and divert attention from the fact that Biden acted as indecisively in Ukraine as he did in Afghanistan. I hope the Stingers get into the right hands and I hope it’s not too late.

All just more right wing lies.

I hope the Stingers get into the right hands and I hope it’s not too late.
Why would YOU want that? Oh that's right. You are FOR Ukraine now. Hard to keep track of your whiplash loyalties.

His aid is within the same timeframe as other nations…

Far from indecisive

Russia wasn’t massing troops on the border like during the China Joe presidency (also known as the mistake) during the miracle years of Trump so that argument is just loaded with C R A P.

That was

That was a long 3 days.

It felt like WWII.
A pivotal 3 days which could have put Stingers into Ukraine fighters hands. Three days lawyers discussed as Russian helicopters flew.

And yet 3 days.

But you go on hating and attacking your political opponents while the allies strategized and planned.

What part of “acting decisively “ confuses you? It was no time for lawyers it was time for action.

Perhaps you think this invasion was something Putin planned just a few months ago? Hardly. He used his puppet, Trump, to attack NATO for 4 years while he built up his war chest to partially offset American sanctions. He used Trump and Rudy to weaken Ukraine by withholding aid while they bribed the Ukrainian president to obtain dirt on a political opponent. Putin used your Dear Leader to soften up Ukraine and NATO in preparation for this invasion. Too bad, for Putin and Trump, that it didn't hold up.

comrade, from your link

President Joe Biden instructed the U.S. State Department to release up to an additional $350 million worth of weapons from U.S. stocks to Ukraine.....

this is the problem with trying to spew lying conservative narratives when english isnt your first language. Have your supervisor explain what "additional" means. anyhoo, one can easily find this information if they were so inclined. this is from January

The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine on Tuesday afternoon reported that 79 tons of security assistance, including about 300 Javelins, arrived in Kyiv.

things in the real world don't happen on your TV schedule.

now, just sit back and let the adults crush Russia over the next 15 years.

Yea comrade @Chainsawmassacre, this is not hard stuff to find. From December

Part of a $60 million security assistance package, including small arms and ammunition, was delivered to Ukraine on Thursday, according to a State Department official in the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, but a final delivery containing four counter mortar radars is still scheduled for early next year

From October

“The Javelins were delivered to Ukraine on Oct. 23. The United States has committed more than $450 million in security assistance to Ukraine in 2021, and this is part of our ongoing commitment to supporting Ukraine’s ability to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Pentagon spokesman Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel Anton T. Semelroth said in the e-mail.

i get that the OP was designed to take a shot at a democratic president (3 days after a country invaded another country on the other side of the world) but i think Russia is now setup for decades of pain, financially, from the West/allies.

and it's all because of one dude. one massively rich mafia like dude.

Ukraine needed Stingers. Biden vacillated for weeks as Putin massed forces along the border. After Russia actually invaded Biden decided to send Stingers and that was after he had lawyers discuss it for three critical days.

LOL. Google "Trump NATO relationship". You'll find dozens or hundreds of links.

Google "Trump withhold aid Ukraine". Here too you will find dozens of articles.

Perhaps you've been shut off from the internet for the past 5 years?

In the real world Reagan sent Afghan fighters Stingers without talking to lawyers and that led to Russia leaving Afghanistan and was the beginning of the end for the USSR.
