WILMINGTON, Del. (Reuters) - Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has added top lawyers to his staff and launched a “special litigation” team as his campaign braces for potential legal fights over the outcome of the Nov. 3 U.S. election against President Donald Trump.

Biden has a lot more money than Trump who has been very wasteful with things like private jets for staffers.

Trump has said ‘we’ll see’ if he lose the EC. Yes, we will see.
 
Given the grim numbers, this is a fairly obvious tactic. Biden's only chance will be in court, and likely not there.

We capitulated in 2000, 2016, and arguably in 2004. Glad to see that the Democratic party would not go down without a fight this time. :thumbs:

Trump is underwater in every poll and losing badly on management of the coronavirus and ending civil unrest, which are the two issues people care about most.

There is zero chance Trump doesn't lead on election night, declare victory, then go to court to try and stop the outstanding Democratic vote from coming in.

So everyone keeps saying, wrongly, but they do.

Trump has 43% of hardcore support, so all they have to do is turn out and vote. 75% turn out puts it out of Biden's reach. That does not even enter into whether Trump is doing better with blacks, Hispanics, suburban moms, etc. I does not matter that COVID is starting to fade out of the front page, that inner city rioting has gotten old and tired, that the economy is starting to pick up, or that millions of people have been rehired. Trump has enough core support to swamp anything the Democrats can put out, with the rest is just icing on the cupcake.

In no sense of the word did Democrats capitulate in 2000. The after election night fight was nasty and Gore pulled no punches. In no sense did Democrats capitulate in 2016. The after election fight has raged for going on four years, with the Democrats digging deep in to the dirty trick bag.

Only someone with no respect for the Constitution thinks Democrats capitulated at any point this century.

Good because the odds are trump will make the election into a farce and the Dems need to be ready to counter any trump legal moves.

Really? Most MSM reports that Trump has nearly 150 million bucks in his campaign coffers (probably leftover "wall" money he siphoned from the Pentagon budget, lol).

Lot of court battles to come in the days following the election. Republicans are going to try to stop the counting of absentee ballots in every state.
 
Every single trump supporter in this thread is signaling with their ignorance that they're too young to remember a single election before 2016 or they're not American.

Because many absentee voters will be Democratic, it is very likely that we will have a "red mirage" on election night, where the initial vote counts suggest a trump landslide victory. As the absentee ballots are counted over the days, the votes tallies will swing towards Biden.

If Biden wins like that, then trump is going to feel that a victory that he was entitled to was taken away from him. That will not end well.
