Biden’s oil lie

Opinion is not evidence.
All fact no opinion.

John Kerry, the president’s climate envoy has been pressuring banks and financial institutions to reduce their commitments to U.S. oil and gas companies and join the Net-Zero Banking Alliance, which would hobble the ability of oil and gas companies to increase production. Citi, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley,Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase signed on to the alliance this year.”

Biden’s number is correct: There are 9,137 approved permits to drill on federal and Indian land, and the oil industry could use those permits and drill.
But that does not happen overnight.
We do not have an oil shortage in the US.
Unfortunately gas prices are not based on just the US, it is a global market.

Biden tells us “big oil” isn’t drilling enough wells and they are to blame for higher gas prices. If they aren’t drilling everything they can it’s because Biden anti oil policies are working as planned.

You will probably get a lot of flak with this post. The reason being someone has finally pointed out one of the reasons oil companies are truly cautious about over drilling. Off shore or Artic drilling are long term, multi-billion dollar projects. No one knows what the supply position and world prices will be by the time they are finished.

Even in the short term who knows what prices will be. A week ago a barrel of oil was $130 and now about $110. If major strategic oil reserves were emptied who knows how low prices will be.

The cost of capital for oil and gas projects has risen as consider these companies in the same bucket as tobacco or gun companies.
Thus the owners need to consider this as this invest.

All fact no opinion.
And yet there is no evidence that this is actually holding any companies back, is there?

So still just opinion as to what might be happening.

Utterly bizarre that they are pretending that destroying the oil industry is not a core platform of their party. Bizarre.

1. On his first day as president, Biden canceled completion of the Keystone XL Pipeline, taking away thousands of American jobs, reducing domestic energy production, and driving up the cost of oil.
2. One of Biden’s first actions as president was suspending oil and gas leases in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and New Mexico.
3. Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reinstalled regulations that restrict domestic energy production, including resurrecting the “Waters of the United States” rule that limits how farmers and ranchers can use their land.
4. Last month the EPA announced new regulations for methane emissions from oil and gas production, transmission, storage, and distribution. The American Petroleum Institute estimated that the Democrats’ desired ban on oil and gas development on federal lands would cause nearly 1 million Americans to lose their jobs, and cost the U.S. $500 billion to import gas.
5. Biden’s EPA is also pushing a new rule regulating greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles. That regulation is estimated to raise the average vehicle price by $1,000.
6. President Donald Trump pulled the United States out of the Paris Climate Accord, citing its harm to American jobs and the U.S. economy. Biden rejoined the United Nation’s globalist project, which will result in more energy regulations and restrictions and drive up the cost of domestic energy, including gasoline and heating.
7. Biden’s decision to put a moratorium on oil and gas leasing on federal land and his goal of banning hydraulic fracking will no doubt please Russia and OPEC as the U.S. loses its energy independence and increases its dependence on foreign oil and gas.
8. Biden vowed to prohibit fracking, which will cause a massive loss in American jobs. “Banning fracking, as Biden has promised to do, would eliminate 19 million jobs between 2021-2025,” according to the House Republican Policy Committee.
9. Biden’s policies have resulted in skyrocketing prices at the gas pump. A year ago — in November 2020 — the average gas price was $2.11 per gallon. By November 2021, the national average gas price had shot up to $3.42. Americans paid 61 percent more for gas as inflation soared to a 30-year high.
10. Biden’s Build Back Better plan would spend taxpayer dollars to force utilities to use more expensive forms of energy (as called for in the Green New Deal), reducing energy choices and raising costs for American consumers.

This is a massive lie.

But it makes sense doesn't it? This poster brags about how he voted for a massive liar 2 times in a row.
Yea, it never ceases to amaze me how often these folks, who worship at the feet of the greatest liar ever to enter the White House, and who still believe the completely debunked Big Lie about a stolen election, still want to lecture the world about all the liars out there ruining their lives.

I do my best to avoid hyperbole, but comparing them to Hitler fans lecturing others about the evils of racism is not too much of a stretch.

It's criminal what these people are doing to our country and the world.....it's all about the money, that's what's going on here. Millions of EV's on the roads in America will destroy many country's land and water supply, through the mining of lithium and cobalt.....then comes the future of the EV craze......millions and millions of old 2.000 pound toxic batteries which will destroy the land.....these people are sick and twisted......follow the money and you will see how these crooks operate.

and the mining of Tar sand " oil " doesn't?
it takes just over 2.6 Barrels of fresh water to produce 1 barrel of tar sand oil and that water can't be used again,
Yep follow the money , they both are destroying the land the EV just aren't putting carbon and other chemicals into the air like ICE cars do
Have a nice day

“In that EO, the President stated that it is the policy of his government to act to “mitigate [climate-related financial] risk and its drivers,” as part of his Administration’s all-of-government approach to addressing the climate crisis. The EO directs several federal actors to issue reports and recommendations on how, precisely, to do that.

By including the “drivers” of climate change in the Executive Order’s directives, President Biden has made it clear that agencies can’t just tinker with assessments and disclosure —steps that provide greater information and transparency on banks’ climate risks. Federal financial regulators must address what is creating that risk head-on, including by driving down the financing of fossil fuels.”

And you worship and follow an 80 y/o man with advancing dementia. Go figure.

We all have opinion. Not everybody provides significant evidence of fact to support their opinion. This OP provides no such evidence. OP-fail.

Oh yea....Oil companies still need to be subsidized.

IT's MY OIL. Oil is a natural resource under the feet of every American citizen and thus ITS OURS. If you want to go get it as a business enterprise, be my guest. But it should be on terms that satisfy me, not necessarily terms that favor you. The days of buying land because it might have oil on it are all over. Its all leasing now. So fine....its my land, its my oil.

Yet in spite of the fact that the oil is a natural resource and asset for all Americans, the oil lobby is far and way the most influential lobby we have, effecting both domestic and foreign policy to a degree that a is and has been wholly unhealthy. The oil lobby does not give a rats ass about Americans. It cares about profits. That is fine for most businesses just not a business that is extracting what is actually mine to begin with.
Oil companies have 98.2% of Texas and 98,2% of OK to drill for oil on that is NOT federal land.
reading all these threads on here makes me wonder if the people on here think that all the oil in TX and OK is only on that 1.8% of the land in those states and the Oil companies can only drill on that little bit of land to get that oil
Have a nice day

Forcing EV's down the throats of Americans is the answer???.....huh, no. It will take years to update the extra needed infrastructure to support the use of millions and millions of EV's in America, the study and application of the environmental refuse of millions of old, used up lithium batteries, huge upgrades in creating the large amounts of electricity needed and where it will come from, not to mention that thanks to the Biden family they helped and profited from China achieving the majority of the worlds minerals needed to manufacture lithium batteries.....makes one wonder, what is really going on here with ole Joe. In the meantime, gas and oil is NOT going anywhere, fyi......you're just being suckered into paying out the yazoo for it, while you support the crooked sob's.

The oil companies have told us they won't. They like the prices where they are.

I support a prez that focuses on renewable energy, not oil. After the pandemic crash in oil production, the rate of increase in production is back to nearly the same as established during the Obama admin, under which oil production went up for the first time since 1970. The oil industry has no plans to increase production to new highs. To this day, the oil industry is heavily subsidized in many ways. It's renewable energy that needs the subsidies, not oil. Private investment is going into renewables, not so much into dirty energy. That's the "free market" at work. Why are con posters against the free market and investors' choice of where to invest their money?

Are you claiming oil companies don't have the capital to drill oil?
This is not about capital. This is about liquidity.

LMAO... Defund the oil companies?
It is not the first time it has been said.

Ever been to west Texas?
I used to live in oil country

Can you give one iota of evidence that the bolded is true?
You need to do better than this. It isn't like the OP gives no supporting evidence.

This is a massive lie. But it makes sense doesn't it?
It makes sense because it isn't a lie.

This poster brags about how he voted for a massive liar 2 times in a row.
Good sense is a mark in his favor.

Should banks be forced to lend to oil companies?
Nor should they be forced to not lend.

And yet there is no evidence that this is actually holding any companies back, is there? So still just opinion as to what might be happening.
The OP presents evidence. You are only pretending that it does not give facts and expert opinion.

If you were the head of one of these companies, would you drill, knowing the person in charge campaigned on putting you in prison for polluting?

Or maybe Biden was just lying when he said that (Dec 2019, look it up)?

You tell us, since you seem to be the arbiter here of what lies are and who spreads them.

Sorry, it may be "expert opinion" (not really, he was a fast food restaurant CEO), but opinions != facts. Maybe in RW world they do, but everywhere else, no.

DON'T go trying to change what I said!
I never said one way or another if EVs are good or not I was pointing out the FACT it takes 2,6 Barrels of fresh water to produce 1 barrel of Tar Sand oil and that water can't be used for much of anything if anything at all .
My hope is that the company in Cal that is working on the NDB battery gets another breakthrough and get them from 45% effective to 90 or 100 % effective if they do it will revolutionize not only the Battery industry but the oil industry and electrical generating industry.
and it will be reusing old Nuclear waste that we make and is costly to store and make harmless.
If you do some research on the NDB you would find that they are not batteries like we now and think of batteries today but they make them the same size as our AA/AAA/D and car batteries but the ones for EV and regular cars
they not only store energy but also produce it
they will run millions of miles with out charging ( in fact you don't charge them at all ) and people will be able to plug their car into the grid and put electric back into the grid and lower your homes bill
as I said IF they get them to be more effective then they are now it will turn the energy world up side down
Have a nice day
