Best way to get concert tickets?

Without paying a broker mark-up. Without joining some club and paying a fee. I just want to buy tickets when they go on sale without any extra crap. Seems like most events are snapped up by brokers and the average person is screwed.

I don't buy tickets often anymore, obviously. Thanks.
 
I assume by broker fee you're talking about not paying all of Ticketmaster's 'convenience' charges? The only way I know of to avoid it is to actually go to the facility in question and buy them at the box office in person.

When I said "broker mark up" I meant places like Stub Hub, which tends to be even more expensive than the first line of brokers (i.e.: Ticketmaster) that are literally almost impossible to avoid. Unless you go straight to the ticket office, like you say.

Anyway, I got them this morning without much hassle. Thanks for the response.
