I don't eat fast food hardly anymore. But when I do I hit my faves up if possible.

I was curious where you guys go when you can based on "Best" criteria.

Oh if you NEVER eat FF, great this poll is not for you.

Culver's which is a Wisconsin based joint. It has butterburgers and custard.
I think it's grown to the point where most Midwest states, some South East states, and Texas and Arizona have locations.

Picture of a burger and fries.

My favourite is Wendy's followed by Five Guys (popular on the East Coast I believe) and third is McDonald's. My least favourite is Burger King.

I don't eat at fast food places unless there is absolutely no other option (i.e. I am doing a long distance drive and the only place for 100 miles around is some fast-food joint).

The food is over-processed, poorly prepared, served by people who hate their jobs and are as likely to add bodily fluids to it as give you a smile...

So my vote is "Other" as I will choose a greasy-spoon diner over a fast food place given the choice.

To me Wendy's beats all others.

I do not eat fast food very often, but when I do, I demand a clean restaurant, courteous service, and great food.

This leave McDonald's out completely.
I haven't set foot in a McDonalds in many, many years.
Too many bad experiences with filthy conditions, lethargic service, and mediocre food.

Lately Hardee's has been slipping in those categories, and I generally avoid them as well.

Lately, I am finding clean conditions, polite and attentive service, and good food at both Chik-fil-A and Bojangles Chicken.
So they tie for my vote as the best.

And by and large, Burger King has been doing pretty darned well in those three categories as well.
So they come a close second.

:)

Seriously everyone has this mcdonalds hate just ingrained in them. I have eaten in McDs in over half the country and have never seen an unsanitary mcdonalds, ever.

Culvers would have been my pick also had I not tried Freddy's. Now it would be my second choice, but just barely.

Dear internet friend.

I am not 'everybody'.
I only speak for myself and my own standards and my own experiences with McDonald's in (specifically) Alabama, Arizona, California, Texas, and Florida.

I am pleased to hear that you have had positive and pleasurable experiences with your own McDonalds in Grapeview, Washington (and apparently, 24 other States as well).
I celebrate your good luck and I applaud the local McDonald's management there where you live, and at those locations you have been so fortunate to have visited.

Peace be unto you, and may you enjoy many, many happy Big Macs and french fries.

But as for me, I'll pass.
:)

Wendy's burgers best burgers. There really isn't a close second.

McD's has an expansive menu nowadays, so it's hard to get bored with their menu.

For fast food I would say Wendy's. Unfortunately, due to having young kids, when we do fast food it is usually McDonald's.

I don't really have one single favorite. I have favorites for different kinds of food.

Chipotle is my favorite Mexican.

Burgerfi is my favorite burger place.

Raising Cane's is my favorite chicken place.

Other: My grill.

It's even faster than fast food.

A&W - Gotta love it, though I hate root beer lol.

Wendys - Baconator, does anything have to be said?

McDonalds - I have to admit, I've gotten back into the Big Mac, overall, McDonalds is actually very poor but its the only Fast Food joint in my immediate area so I do partake after a bad shift in which I couldnt eat anything.

Burger King
- Yeah, Burger king has gone really downhill, unlike even McDonalds they haven't invested any money back in their stores, generally just feels like a crummy franchise... Realized I haven't had that one in a long time, but I'm always partial to a whopper.

Back in South Africa we had homegrown chains that were amazing, one which is spreading around the world:

Nandos (huge expansion in UK, some stores in Canada) - Portuguese Mozambican chicken company founded in South Africa, brilliant stuff, and interesting format for serving, it's a bridge between fast food and sit down restaurant and if you like spicy... this place will **** your **** up.

Steers

Was in Japan, tried some interesting stuff there.

MOS burger - Interesting to say the least...

El Pollo Loco.

Fast, tasty, healthy.

some of those I have never visited but in my experience Wendy's is consistently the cleanest FFR and the food is uniformly pretty good.

probably the McDonalds in my hometown. food there is excellent. the best Subway i've ever been to is located there, too.

Chick-Fil-A is the only correct answer.

BK really has gone downhill. Quality and consistency are their biggest issues.

I agree re the Big Mac. Sometimes, 2 to 4 times a year, it's the only thing that'll satisfy.

And, yes, the Baconator. Still like their classic double, too.

I love tacos and Mexican food, and while I know that Taco Bell isn't really Mexican food, it is still my favorite place to go to if I eat fast food. If I get a burger it would be from Wendy's. Although I must say the prices at these burger places are getting ridiculous. I would much rather get a burger from a place that actually cooks them when you order it. Bill Gray's is a burger place up here which has really good burgers. If I am gonna be spending 5-8 dollars on a burger/meal I will go for that instead.

These days with online ordering and everything, I rarely get fast food. If I eat out, I will just order something from a local restaurant and pick it up when I can. Especially when a fast food meal is about the same cost, and ten times worse for you.

I try it now and then but I just don't find much joy in Mexican food, I see the appeal though.

I agree with that last bit, but I'll take it one step further.

Taco Bell isn't just not Mexican food... It's not food period.

To me personally, Mexican food seems like the ultimate comfort food. Taco Bell is good for what it is, somewhere I can go and spend 10 dollars and have enough for multiple meals. Whether or not the first meal stays with me until the second is up in the air.

Bojangles and not just bc it's the only one in the state
