The Dodgers are, right here and now, based on bullpen, starters, and hitting, the best team ever assembled.

Injured and limping hitters, Kemp out, Ramirez barely able to walk, Ethier hobbling, .. Kershaw, the sure-bet NL Cy Young winner, has, by far, the worst night of his season.

Even the vaunted NY Yankees had great seasons and lost both the pennant race and other times the World Series itself.

St. Louis remains a championship team with a strong lineup and great pitching.

But wait until next year, when the Dodgers are healthy, all healthy, with those top three starting pitchers even better .. .. just wait 'til next year ...

Despite the fact that only two other teams in modern MLB history were as hot as the Dodgers were over 50 games this season still somewhat unhealthy with Kemp out and others on the DL ..

.. I'll give you that for now.

Absolutely not!

No team in major league history has had a bullpen, hitting squad, and starting pitching, all three, at the level of the present Los Angeles Dodgers.

That's why they're winning at an .830 clip since 6/22/13 when most everyone had returned healthy.

This team is no fluke.

It indeed may be the best ever assembled.

The 2013 Los Angeles Dodgers.

They are now 22-2 since the All Star break and 39-8 since June 22nd, when they got a number of their players back from injury.

Since June 22nd, their bullpen has the lowest ERA in baseball.

Their starters are solid and dominating. Kershaw is the best pitcher in baseball, and their rookie pitcher Ryu from South Korea is the real phenom deal.

And they have the best hitting lineup in the majors .. and this without both Matt Kemp and Hanley Ramirez for a considerable amount of this time.

Once they get back both Ramirez and Kemp, they will be the best hitting lineup from top to bottom including bench in modern baseball history.

Their .830 winning percentage since June 22nd is no fluke.

This team is for real, scary real .. indeed, maybe the best team ever assembled in modern baseball history.
