Bernanke: Plan? There ain't no plan!

One of my favorite movies was Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. Beyond the nerdy kids with mud in their hair was the main guy who made it all worth watching: Pig Killer. He started the train and the whole gain piled on to get the hell out of barter town and when Max asked him what the plan was... he says: There ain't no plan!

Well, Ben Bernanke was playing the part of Pigkiller and using more words, in a non-fictional setting, answering a real-life question said the same thing as good 'ol Pigkiller did.

He seems to be trying explain to those in congress that it is time to start moving to cut or budget deficits. He stated that this should start in the medium term, but laying out a gameplan will give the markets some confidence. Without that confidence he goes on to say that interest rates may rise and that gowth cold be lessened.
