"Terrorists we can pick up, remove from society,” Jambon stressed, but those who openly support terrorism or attack the law enforcement during the arrest are a sign of“cancer that is much more difficult to treat.”

“We can do it, but not today or tomorrow. Politicians will have to surpass themselves,” he stressed, making it clear that there is now quick solution to this problem in the short term. "

""A significant section of the Muslim community danced when attacks took place," Jambon said in an interview with the Flemish-language De Standaard newspaper.

The Belgian minister also accused Muslim residents of Brussels' largely immigrant Molenbeek neighbourhood of attacking police during an operation last month to arrest a suspect in connection with the deadly attacks in Paris last November.

"They threw stones and bottles at police and press during the arrest of Salah Abdeslam. This is the real problem. Terrorists we can pick up, remove from society. But they are just a boil. Underneath is a cancer that is much more difficult to treat. We can do it, but it won't be overnight," he said."

According to him immigrants from third and fourth generation are responsible for the violence against the police during the arrest of Salah Abdeslam.
Another fail of the multiculturalism policy.

Oh, he is refreshingly honest in the sense that our modern societies have seen rather severe problems develop in segments of their populations. Sadly the alienation is not limited to Muslims but is similar in some other minorities as well.

It would pay to check up on this guy (Jambon), before treating any of his spouts seriously.

Do you think the dancing never happened?

What dancing? Where? And when? Those articles, quoting this Belgian minister, don't mention any specific occasion. If there was evidence for this I'm sure someone would have posted it somewhere.

The only piece I can find:

A “significant” number of Belgian Muslim population celebrate terrorist attacks, the country's Interior Minister has claimed" [...]

"He accused Muslim residents of the Brussels suburb of Molenbeek of attacking police during an operation last month to arrest Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam" [...]

Muslims in Belgium 'dance in the street' following terrorist attacks, claims Interior Minister | Europe | News | The Independent

So there is no specific reference to an actual incident, of dancing. May be it was his way of expressing what he feels is celebration?

What we do know, is when the police raided the premises, to capture last suspect, he was sat having food with a family.

Okay, two separate stories there: 1) the interior minister claims a 'significant' number of Belgian Muslims - he's not specific about how many constitutes 'significant', would that be 10, 100, 1000? - are celebrating unspecified terrorist attacks - which attacks he's not specific about.

And 2) he accused Muslim residents of Molenbeek of attacking the police. A very different and specific accusation that can be proved by police reports, so where are they?

So there is no specific reference to an actual incident, of dancing. May be it was his way of expressing what he feels is celebration?
So, in other words, making s*** up that he cannot or will not substantiate.

What we do know, is when the police raided the premises, to capture last suspect, he was sat having food with a family.
Which isn't really very much proof of 'significant numbers' of Belgian Muslims supporting the terrorists, now is it?

I'm not aware of any comprehensive study from Belgium, so I can't comment on their attitude towards terrorism. Unlike the sympathy expressed by many British Muslims. But that's not the issue here.
