The vaccine is 95% effective. At this point, the vaccines have been shown to be 95% effective against contraction and 100% effective against hospitalization and death.

There have been 33+ million cases reported in the USA. Most have been pretty mild. However, more than a half million have died. 0.176% of us.

Using actual percentages, 32+ million have contracted the virus. If they had been vaccinated, that number would drop to 1,611,338 and the death toll and those hospitalized would drop to 0. Masked, distanced, quarantined or not.

When I see the vaccinated Biden social distanced wearing a mask on TV, I shake my head.

People who are vaccinated can still spread the virus to others. so the masks and social distancing still make sense.

Your link says that the experts don't know and that they are trying to find out.

Your link does not list a single case of transmission of the virus from a vaccinated person to anyone else.

Contact tracing is the way to prove the point you posted.

I know of no case of transmission of the virus from a vaccinated person to anyone else.

After reading your link, I STILL don't know of a single case of any vaccinated person transmitting the virus.

It's too late to be prudent.

We've already lost a year of education, such as it is, in our public schools. Suicides and crime are both way up. Elderly already dead of isolation and neglect. Economy destroyed. Businesses ruined.

Here in Indianapolis, there are entire clusters of shops vacant with no tenants whatever that used be thriving little hubs of commerce.

I stopped counting the restaurants that failed months ago.

Prudence and panic stricken fear are very different things.

You indicated, and seemed to believe, that not knowing one thing was the same as knowing a different thing. Is that how you live your life?

Of course, the major problem as it affects most of the population is the politics motivating the propagandists to act.

Of the dead, more than 50% were older than 80 years. About 40% were older than 60. The 7 or 8 percent of the cowering, fear gripped, misinformed sheep age 59 or younger were deprived of actual knowledge by our fear mongers.

The goal of this whole thing was terror. The effort was conducted by the propagandists hoping to elect Biden and to strengthen the Democrat-Socialists.

Even on this board where people seem to be better informed than the the general public, knowledge of the demographics of who the virus was killing seemed difficult to spread and difficult for the Liberals to accept.

Less than 1 in 1000 of the deaths occurred to school aged kids 0 to 19 years.

Closing the schools was at best a fear driven decision and at worst a bare political exercise of brute political strength by ideologue "educators" showing politicians they could do it.

Reagan took a different approach with the air traffic controllers. I would have preferred a little Reagan in our response to this.

By my logic, closing the schools and pandering to teachers unions does not protect those 80 and older.

Preventing infected elderly from being herded into elderly care facilities when plenty of other quarters existed for them would have.

Trump was condemned after having provided the additional medical resources for Cuomo to ignore. Cuomo was lionized.

They've been doing this all along.

For example, the CDC panel meeting that discussed pausing the J&J vaccine was live streamed. They even have a YouTube channel, which includes recordings of past meetings:


Government agencies are very open and transparent about their decisions. And yes, they are trying to explain everything they can to anyone who will listen. The Biden Administration is deliberately trying to reach out to conservatives as well.

Defend themselves against what?

Closing the schools to protect the young who were not in danger was either so stupid it's beyond calculation or just plain crazy.

The dead due to Covid show us that old people die more often. People die in the age group 80 and up comprise 50+%.

40+% are aged 60 to 79.

About 7% are aged 59 and younger.

Aged 19 and younger, the death toll was less than 0.1%.

The covid response was and is a political fear campaign run by ideologues and propagandists aimed solely at deceiving the dim witted.

We have been continuously misinformed by idiots like Fauci on every side of every question and he is continued to be listened to.

WTF?
