Before Giving Billions to Jared Kushner, Saudi Investment Fund Had Big Doubts

"Those objections included: “the inexperience of the Affinity Fund management”; the possibility that the kingdom would be responsible for “the bulk of the investment and risk”; due diligence on the fledgling firm’s operations that found them “unsatisfactory in all aspects”; a proposed asset management fee that “seems excessive”; and “public relations risks” from Mr. Kushner’s prior role as a senior adviser to his father-in-law, former President Donald J. Trump, according to minutes of the panel’s meeting last June 30.

But days later the full board of the $620 billion Public Investment Fund — led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler and a beneficiary of Mr. Kushner’s support when he worked as a White House adviser — overruled the panel.

Mr. Kushner played a leading role inside the Trump administration defending Crown Prince Mohammed after U.S. intelligence agencies concluded that he had approved the 2018 killing and dismemberment of Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi columnist for The Washington Post and resident of Virginia who had criticized the kingdom’s rulers."

Nice pay-off for Kushner for turning a blind eye to murder.
Compared to this, what the Ukrainian gas company paid Hunter was peanuts — and Hunter wasn’t making U.S. policy. But it’s ok, Jared is a Republican.

You're making no sense. What's "working" evidenced by my anger?

I mean, I guess I'm angry that we were led by corrupt incompetents for four years and that same group are the de facto leaders of the GOP, who are unconcerned about this kind of blatant corruption, selling the WH for $billions, but that seems rational to me.
The right worships kleptocracy. That’s part of their admiration of Putin.

IF Hunter did this compared to Jared it was peanuts their talking millions against 2 BILLION
and Jared had a place in Trumps administration
and it is no wonder the Saudi's want Trump to be re-elected and most likely will put a few million into Trumps re-election
YEP it is perfectly okay for Trump and his family to do things like this but don't let anybody on the left leaning side do the same thing
IF they do prove this all happened they should have all of them put up on charges and sent to jail TRUMP INCLUDED
Have a nice night

The point is that it wasn’t the same thing. What Jared did was orders of magnitude worse.

Oh, what a surprise, a MAGA here to move the goal posts from the son in law of Trump getting a $2 BILLION payout from MBS for services rendered!

Did the article mention this is after Wonder Boy Jared got an over $1 billion payout from Qatar, while he was working in the White House for daddy in law? So the total payouts to Jared from the ME for his government service as an unpaid special advisor to daddy in law are well over $3 billion! Must be nice.
Don't look!!

Concern should be on the laptop Hunter did lines of coke on

the saudi-led blockade that ended immediately after jared got the $1 billion he needed to keep 666 afloat ... from qatar?

Yes, that one.

I have a suspicion that that deal was worked out sometime between the sword dance and the hold the orb moment.

Jared Kushner would go jet skiing with MBS, meanwhile there were hundreds placed under arrest in the Kingdom until they agrred to pay MBS to be freed.

Did Kushner get his $2 billion "reward" in reaction to this?

Did Kushner share top secret U.S. intelligence with MBS three months before MBN was removed in favor of MBS?
Why was MBS invited to the white house 2 months into Kushner's shadow presidency instead of his much senior cousin, MBN?

Does Kushner have Adnan Khashoggi's blood on his hands? Did he give away top secret intelligence detrimental to the closest U.S. ally
in the Saudi Royal family and is this $2 billion his "pay off"?

March 20, 2018
"Tuesday's visit is not the first time MBS has visited the White House.
He met with Trump, Kushner and other aides on March 2017, when the group had lunch in the White House's State Dining Room. That relationship grew months later when Trump made his first foreign trip to Saudi Arabia, where the President was greeted with opulent pomp-and-circumstance for a series of meetings with Muslim leaders, including King Salman...."

Newly reported today:
"...What has not been reported is that, during this time period, MBN told people he believed that Kushner and MBS had formed an “alliance” of some sort that involved getting rid of him. MBN reportedly felt he needed to act preemptively and wanted to make sure he retained top U.S. government support in the event he staged a coup d’état to usurp both King Salman, whom he believed was mentally incompetent, and MBS, whom he thought was dangerous."

"...Muhammad's uncle King Salman named him as crown prince on 29 April 2015. On 21 June 2017 the king appointed his own son, Mohammed bin Salman, as crown prince and relieved Muhammad bin Nayef of all positions. He has been in detention since 6 March 2020 along with his uncle Ahmed and his half-brother Nawwaf..."

This odd development occurred only eleven months after MBN was designated successor to the king and then disavowed...

"The change of succession (to MBS) had been predicted in December 2015 by an unusually blunt and public memo published by the German Federal Intelligence Service,[43][44] for which it was subsequently rebuked by the German government.[45] ..."

"..
The memo said that King Salman and his son Prince Mohammed bin Salman were trying to build reputations as leaders of the Arab world.

Since taking the throne early this year, King Salman has invested great power in Prince Mohammed, making him defense minister and deputy crown prince and giving him oversight of oil and economic policy. The sudden prominence of such a young and untested prince — he is believed to be about 30, and had little public profile before his father became king — has worried some Saudis and foreign diplomats....

A government official in Berlin, speaking on condition of anonymity, added that it was the BND’s job “to supply the government with information, and to deliver hopefully clever analysis.”

“The BND certainly does not speak for German foreign policy, and definitely not through third parties” like the media
, the government official said, adding that political advances in Syria and the Middle East in general could be achieved only with “constructive cooperation with Saudi Arabia.”
