I'm for Israel; I'm for the original intent of our constitution;I'm for have and carrying guns; I'm against sodomites(queers, ******s, preverts), I'm against abortion (I really mean murder!). Too many what? What anythings? How do you know they're scared? Does every issue have a side? Why do you feel that you, as part of the "we," need to possess these arbitrary people?

The world is not all black and white. There are no absolutes, everything is relative. The intolerance and absolutes which you preach are exactly that of the terrorists. They feel they are absolutely right in the extermination of anyone that disagrees.

Do you think it weakens your message that you posted this in the Death Penalty forum, yet it has nothing whatsoever to say about the death penalty?
Let's see, sides, sides; I'm completely disgusted with the entire Middle East as a topic of conversation for this country, and so have no opinion on the Israel-Hezbollah conflict; I think the Constitution is too outdated to be relevant any more and should be rewritten; I'm against guns in general and the owning and carrying of firearms in specific; I'm for any consenting adults who want to have sex being allowed to do so in any way they can; and I'm for a woman's right to choose. Oh, and I think this is a ridiculous way to begin a conversation, and the fact that you can't even spell "perverts" in your little screed makes me laugh.

Now you know where I stand.

I say "prevert" vs "pervert" on purpose all the time. Don't you remember the Roseanne show where DeeJay asks, "Am I a prevert?":rofl to which Roseann replies, "No honey you're a pervert. "

I am absolutely against placing everything in a black and white context....in this I am unanimous.

I'm not sure why this is in the Death Penalty forum, but let's take a stab at it via that route....
Say a man shoots and kills a known child molester, but to rob him, not seek vengeance. Should he be charged with a capital offense, hence be eligible for the death penalty?
Say a man shoots and kills someone he thought had molested his kid. Should he be charged with a capital offense?
Now, if, as you say, things should be black and white, and you are for the death penalty, then you would perhaps think both men should be charged with capital offenses and if you are against the death penalty, then no.
But why no? Both are murder in the first degree. Both murders were intentful and planned. But....mitigating circumstances make it a gray area.
Nothing is in black and white, not even black and white photographs. Even the most ardent supporters of an issue will and do make exceptions. And those that don't are usually pretty close-minded about learning anything about the very issue they support or abhor.
