I'm still not really sure how Wonder Woman's supposed to fit into all this yet.
Hmmm... Is it just me, or do they seem to be implying that Bruce Wayne was inspired to become Batman by Superman's battle against Zod in "Man of Steel?" I'm also guessing that the armor he wears to fight Superman is probably Zod's armor, that's been re-purposed somehow.

Weirdly, Bruce Wayne seems to be filling the traditional "Lex Luthor" role here a lot more than Eisenberg.
LOL, no I dont think so.
From what Ive read Bruce Wayne is pretty much retired and he decided to become Batman again after what Superman did in Metropolis- seems he holds Supes responsible for all the people who died in that battle with Zod. Now whoever got Zod's body my guess its Lex who got it or the US government. As far as WW, I think she's either an ambassador or her country reveals itself after the events in Metropolis.
Ah DC, Dumb**** Comics. They're just going to keep ****ing with their characters even after they finally, after decades, got one right. They finally got Batman right (Dark Knight) and now here they are changing all that again. Of course they brought in the greatest superhero killer of all time - Affleck. So maybe this is the last for the bats.
Retcon hell.
Well... Yea. Retirement could work too. I'm just saying that the trailer does make it look a lot like Wayne was pissed off enough by what Superman did in Metropolis to put the cape back on, at the very least.
They also seem to be implying that he lost someone in that building that went down. I hope they're not going to give him a wife and kids in this continuity just so Superman can be responsible for killing them. That'd be kind of a bitch.
Also, what was up with that "Batman vs Hydra/Nazis" scene? WW's home country, ya think, or maybe Wayne's father?
Not sure who Batman is fighting in those other scenes, WW's country doesnt use guns or high tech stuff, they are sort of like Greek gods, we need more trailers so I can be sure though lol.

It's worth noting that Wayne's father in the trailer is being played by the freaking Comedian from Watchmen. I'm sure that wasn't an idyll decision. Lol
I'm thinking WW2/Cold War era Batman, and that he possibly had some kind of connection to the Amazonians which will come into play.
Too many possibilities, damnit! :lamo

There is also evidence that shows why batman entered retirement.... The joker killed Robin. You see Robins suit with Jokers writing on it.
Ah... Is that what that was? Makes sense.
I wonder if they're planning on using Jared Leto's joker, or making their own.
And Batman's iron man armor is taken directly from Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns comic book...which means Batman probably has some kryptonite ready for Supes.
Not to mention the Joker, the lamest, silliest villain in all comic history. Not even a super-villain. In fact, the Joker's only super power was super insanity. Batman spent decades trying to defeat him, a fellow with no powers whatsoever, and now he's supposed to be able to go against Superman? Laughable.
It's worth noting that he actually managed to take over the entire universe at one point in the comics. lol
Emperor Joker
Yeah, I know. That's DC for you and also explains why they need to retcon everything endlessly, hoping to get it right eventually. But hey, Marvel had Howard the Duck. But at least they recognize and rip on the stupidity of that.
