Taking a small percent to pay a salary out of money you raised yourself is not the same as robbing a bank. And Bannon didn't take any for himself. And it probably was not stolen from the non-profit anyway.

Bannon didn't take any money for himself. I don't know the reason that other guy was paid such a big salary. I don't know if the money they paid him was actually stolen from the fund or just passed through. I haven't read everything about it yet.

I suspect that most of us don't have enough details to make more than a guess but when a guy is arrested for a crime, I would hope it's based on evidence and not some political bias. Especially since I find it unlikely that AG Barr hasn't followed this investigation.

You mean if he defalcated funds from a charitable cause raised to help build a border wall, but then laundered the money, and paid himself with it through some backdoor means? I do not know how you define "horrible," Good4Nothin. It's not as though he is stealing Social Security money from some impoverished old ladies. But it is certainly criminal and he should be charged.

Now, if you mean that this looks "political" in that it is selective enforcement of the law and that other people engage in just as bad if not worse fraud through charitable causes you may very well be right. However, one thief saying "Hey, there are worse thieves in my neighborhood, why are you picking on me??" does not fly. He is still a thief.

Certainly if I tried to enrich myself through some cockamamie scheme like this, I would almost certainly be arrested and deservedly charged with felony fraud.

My point, you are making statement of opinion that you want others to take as fact. Noted you provide no links to documents/sites to back up what you say.

We all might was play the "what if game". If I posted, "Bannon is guilty of all charges", would you not expect links to something that backs it up? Without them it is an opinion.

Russiagate turned out to be true. The Russians did interfere with our election on Trump's behalf. They're doing it again. Whether or not Trump conspired with the Russians doesn't change those facts.

I still have to investigate further, but it looks to me like someone was out to get Bannon. The money used for personal expenses was a tiny percent of what they raised. And Bannon didn't take any of that money, it was paid as a salary to another guy. And it was paid "through" the non-profit, not from the non-profit.

I don't know the whole story yet, but so far it seems obvious that Bannon didn't steal any money for himself, and might not have stolen any at all. Just passed it through, or laundered it. Ok, a crime but maybe not a big deal at all.

I still don't understand why Bannon would have taken a chance by committing any kind of a crime, considering how many people hate him and want him in jail. Maybe he really did not think he was doing anything terrible, because maybe he wasn't.

Mueller proved Russian interference; he proved Manafort's passing campaign data to Russians; he proved Stone's lying about his Russian connections; he proved the Russians attempted to make contacts within the Trump campaign. I suspect the only thing that saved making the connection between Trump and the Russians was the obstruction Trump caused to the investigation.

They raised 25 million. Hundreds of thousands is a small percent. Bannon did not take any money for himself. And the money was "laundered" not stolen.
