I can't stand Bannon and I don't trust him but this article is noteworthy.

“You realise where this is going,” he is quoted as saying. “This is all about money laundering. Mueller chose [senior prosecutor Andrew] Weissmann first and he is a money-laundering guy. Their path to ****ing Trump goes right through Paul Manafort, Don Jr and Jared Kushner … It’s as plain as a hair on your face.”
Bannon continues: “It goes through Deutsche Bank and all the Kushner ****. The Kushner **** is greasy. They’re going to go right through that. They’re going to roll those two guys up and say play me or trade me.”

Trump is not spared. Wolff writes that Thomas Barrack Jr, a billionaire who is one of the president’s oldest associates, allegedly told a friend: “He’s not only crazy, he’s stupid.”

It takes years thought to build up a case that someone is laundering money for a criminal source, not just a few months.

Manafort for example was examined by the FBI for two years before the hammer dropped on him, so don't expect Trump or his organization to be cited for this anytime soon.

Kushner on the other hand might be a different story because the financing for his property in NY was via Deutsche bank, which might interest prosecutors for the coincidence involving the Russian oligarch that sold him the property in the first place, and how it all ties in with the Trump Tower meeting.

Many have suspected it will be the Trump money ties with Russia going back many years that explain his collusion with them and his willingness to get into bed with them hoping to be blessed by Putin the same way Russian oligarchs have been blessed with fortune as he loots the nation.

I too do not trust Bannon and everybody knows he is only doing this to further his own agenda which is to purge Junior and Kirschner from the Oval Office and replace them with himself. Bannon wants to be the power behind the throne ala another famous Russian - Grigori Rasputin. He should remember how Rasputin ended up.

lol bannon is no more credible now than he was before.

On the other hand, that information he points out is entirely independent of him.. and was my personal opinion to a great deal entirely before he said anything. It's not like Bannon is showing any great insight, or giving information that isn't there. The fact he said it shows he is showing his displeasure about rightfully getting kicked out of the white house, and his shows his desire to create chaos. However, what he says is in line with the facts. Bannion's motivation for pointing it out is to sow discord. The information is reasonable accurate.

He also called the Trump Tower meeting with the Russians ‘treasonous and unpatriotic’, and something that should have been immediately brought to the FBI.

That’s gonna be a problem for Trump. Bannon looks happy to flip.

Would you think he knows something? :doh:roll:

I wonder if he has already spoken to Mueller? I can hear it now.... "I will give you both Junior and Kushner on a silver platter but I say nothing against the Don." And Mueller tells him to start singing any tune he cares to croon.

So add Bannon to the list of people the Trump administration and their propaganda-arm Fox news will have to demonize.
Bannon was never trustworthy anyway, he is just made he got fired, etc., all in a day's denial for the Trump apologists.

"[Trump] is not only crazy, he's stupid."

Yes, thank you for finally agreeing.

There was no bigger Trump cheerleader than Bannon. If he's jumping off the ship, it's because the ship is sinking.

Bannon is just saying what all intelligent people realize. Trump is finished. Flynn is talking so Trump is toast.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Paul Ryan will be our next president just a Gerald Ford was president after Nixon. Both Trump and Pence will have to resign in scandal. This will go down as the most corrupt administration in history.

And yet Trump put him in his cabinet. If Bannon is untrustworthy then Trump is to blame for giving him the spot light.

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

I honestly don't know what to think. "The Guardian" has sometimes been a decent news source for primarily international news stuff, but it has been no friend to President Trump or anybody in his administration and has been pretty harshly criticized itself for sensationalizing or misrepresenting what is actually there:

Two examples:

Thomas Wolff is a pretty well respected journalist, but he too sometimes gets it wrong:

One example:
Things Michael Wolff Got Wrong About Facebook - Business Insider

Bannon of course has been reviled and condemned by the left as a serial liar, white supremacist, anti-semitic, paragon of the alt-right and all that. So it will be interesting now that if the left jumps with glee and asserts that, if he has been accurately quoted here, it is all absolutely true.

Two examples:
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/who-is...ct-donald-trump-white-house-chief-strategist/

https://www.bloomberg.com/politics/graphics/2015-steve-bannon/

And the reported feud between Bannon and Drudge notwithstanding, the Guardian article that started today's media frenzy is prominently featured, without comment from Drudge, as the breaking news story of the day at the Drudge website.

So we will see what comes of it. It may be a real bombshell and it may be one of those things that is so taken out of context and misrepresented that nothing will come of it. Or Bannon will be the one winding up with egg on his face. Will be interesting to watch.

Considering Bannon's appearance, who could tell?

I have seen Bannon condemned by the left as a white supremacist, anti-semitic, paragon of the alt-right, but I have found no reference to him being a serial liar, which is of course key to this situation.

I don't know about the left, but I'm jumping with glee, kicking up my heels as well. Bannon is my favorite bigot. The right deserves him!

The reality show just rolls along..........

Bannon is not flipping on Trump. He is giving his opinion on where he thinks the Mueller investigation will go.

Oh, OK...

Bannon, speaking to author Michael Wolff, warned that the investigation into alleged collusion with the Kremlin will focus on money laundering and predicted: “They’re going to crack Don Junior like an egg on national TV.”

“Even if you thought that this was not treasonous, or unpatriotic, or bad ****, and I happen to think it’s all of that, you should have called the FBI immediately.”

Bannon has started to show a pattern of exhibiting two completely different personalities: toys-in-the-attic in public, rational in private. While I wouldn't say he posssesses a brilliant Lex Luthor mind, he's certainly aware of what he's doing.

lol bannon is no more credible now than he was before.

Right, once a person turns on Dear Leader, he has to be personally attacked by the minions.

FWIW, his credibility isn't really the issue here. Nothing in the investigation hinges on it.

On the other hand, that information he points out is entirely independent of him.. and was my personal opinion to a great deal entirely before he said anything. of course what he says now is accurate because it is anti-trump.
signs of TDS out of control.
