Well everyone, it's been a great winter break. Had a lot of fun with my family, friends, and girlfriend. Definitely one of the best breaks I've had in a while. I did a whole lot of jumping around hanging with people, I saw some movies, went to the Texans game, etc. I appreciated all the gifts I received this christmas, as much as I was happy to give gifts to my friends and loved ones. partying on New Year's Eve was fun (from what I remember ). But all good things must come to an end, sadly. Tomorrow I'm heading back to college. Thankfully classes start Tuesday (thank you MLK), so I've got plenty of time to settle back in. I'm glad I'm going back, because I missed a bunch of my college buddies. Plus my roommates, who I all love to death. I only got to see one this break, who came down to see me. I'll miss hanging with my sister and my friends down here, for sure. It's gonna be another round of hitting the books, so I just gotta keep up the hard work like last time. Maybe I'll be able to pull off all A's this round, too.

Here's to another successful semester! Hope y'all all have a great weekend! :rock

live it girl.
*tears of joy* *sniffle*

All the best at school. Work hard; learn a lot; and play hard. That's what college is for.

If you're like me....for the next twenty years, if you are stressed, you may be liable to have a dream in which you are back in college. In this dream, there is a pressing need. Possibly a test you forgot about, or a paper you also neglected. And you've got a few days. You might just sail on by, maybe, but it will hurt.

Eventually you think "wait a minute, I'm not in college! That was long ago! I'm never taking a class again!" and wake up.

Good luck, and don't take any guff from those swine.

Yeah...I remember my days at college. It was fun and sad in the same time. I even tried because I had no time for study (I worked at car station). That was a real madness.

I just quoted the picture for another reason to look at Alan Rickman. *sigh*

for you, my friend

Have fun, Guv. I miss it. I do. I am looking into grad school.

Hard to walk away from something that has been a part of your life for so long.

Isn't pre-socialist America great?

Maybe I should have said instead, "Isn't God good and hasn't He given us in America great numbers of things to be thankful for in being able to enjoy so many great blessings unequaled in just about any other place on earth?"

I still have those kinds of dreams about HS and college.
Now that I'm retired, I have similar work-related dreams.

Eventually you think "wait a minute, I'm not in college! That was long ago! I'm never taking a class again!" and wake up.
The realization that it really is all a dream is a tremendous relief.

Have fun, Governess! The best way to cope with homesickness is to plunge headfirst into your studies and hang out with friends. :2wave:

Nope.

I've been hanging out with my friends pretty often (that's what I did all weekend). I've managed to make more friends in a few of my classes, too. I haven't felt homesick since I've been back. It's been quite alright!
