Authorities in Latvia and Estonia are initiating a big stir in Europe IMHO. Well, their relevant officials have addressed Germany “as the EU chairman state” to make “both Nazi and communist regimes’ crimes subject of international condemnation”. Firstly, I wouldn’t par those regimes and their wrong doings. Secondly, we should be mindful of Latvia and Estonia aims in the context.
They are definitely set to get benefits, e.g. financial indemnities from both sides. But their prime motive actually is to place Germany and Russia in an awkward position and to clash them. Been there, done that. Sophisticated Yankees are no strangers to the scheme I guess. Once again they are trying to drive a wedge between the two countries to weaken them and whole Europe as well. It makes sense now bearing in mind EU forging energy partnership with Russia.
Well I guess Estonia and Latvia are absolutely subdued by Yankees. They’d rather sort it out with their taking off neo Nazi first. Perhaps only EU and mainly Germany is able presently to make small Baltic states healthier. Well, I am really scary of future events if EU stays where it is now.

You might not put those regimes on par but most Estonians and Latvians do and for good reason. The Soviets did much more harm to these countries than the Germans did. 50 years of occupation as well as hundreds of thousands of dead and deported thanks for the Soviets. Both regimes did terrible things and they are simply trying to ensure that the crimes that the Soviets committed are recognized as being as bad as other crimes.
