Austria's population has passed the nine million mark

During April, the population has grown by another 30.000 people.

25.000 more Ukrainians have been registered with a main residence here, +5.000 regular immigrants from elsewhere.

That 30k increase a month would be +1.2 million per month in US terms (when it's in fact +100.000 per month).

Austria could see +2% population growth this year, a modern-day record, but obviously many Ukrainian refugees could return home too this year. So it might not be as high, but who knows ?
