Okay so here is a question that I would like to see people's opinions and thoughts. Here in Brazil with all of these protests and such, there was an interesting idea that I read about. So the people were talking about how everyone needed to wear the national flag around their bodies because if they did such the police wouldn't be able to do anything against them because of a law that Brazil has. The law states about how if anyone attacks or shoots at the national flag of Brazil it is considered a threat against the country. So people are saying that if they were wearing the flag that if the police shot or even hit them they would be able to charge the police with threating and attacking the nation. Anyone know if the US has a similar law with our national flag??

Wearing a flag as a T-shirt is illegal in the US, but the US flag law voluntary. People do disrespectful things to the flag all the time here and show no compunction about it. In fact, some get quite indignant when you explain to them that it is not permissible to wear a flag shirt.
