You're referring to a police report that was filed when Hastings was 16 years old and in High School. If Hastings was mentally ill, he never would have been allowed as a field reporter in Afghanistan.

It's sad that people who want to keep their blinders on will resort to exploiting something that a rebellious teenager did when he was 16. Who didn't do rebellious things when they were that age?
