So apparently some people are truly freaked out about stuff like this. Nails on a chalk board?

ASMR stands for "autonomous sensory meridian response," that tingling feeling you get at the back of your neck and over your scalp when you hear a certain sound or experience a certain stimulus. It's a big trend right now, and there are countless videos on YouTube of people whispering directly into microphones and tapping their fingers on things to try and stimulate an ASMR response for viewers.A lot of people find it relaxing.
Others, well, they find it horrifying.

I think it's really cool and innovative.

What do you think? Does it actually bother you?
I'm at a loss for why this might aggravate a person's senses.

ASMR is quite popular. It's meant to give you "the tingles" so I could see why that would freak some people out. People use it to help them sleep, mostly.

Yeah, it helps me sleep from time to time.

Meh, who cares.

My daughter likes to watch those but I really don't get it. Listening to someone eat a pickle? I'll pass but if you like it, whatever.

I don't watch those kinds of ASMR videos. I haven't gotten anything out of those myself.

So...beer sounds are something new in commercials? Hasn't this kind of thing been going on for decades?

Bottom line, it was a commercial for beer and it did nothing to make me want THAT beer. Also, the "organic" thing actually pushed me away more than I already was. You had ****ty beer, a pretentious commercial and an "organic" label....I have no idea what beer drinker's market that was supposed to be targeting.

Which kind do you mostly watch?

Usually personal attention videos. Sometimes 'unintentional' ASMR videos that pop up in my recommended. My favorite ASMR creator on YouTube is Ephemeral Rift, because he's really creative with everything that he does. Like, I can get some entertainment value out of it, too. But I also follow a few others, but that's about it. I don't stray too far into the crazy of ASMR. :)

Oh hell yeah.
The product being marketed is horrible, and the nonsense they claim is moronic. That organic stupidity is world-class horse feces.

OP is about the ASMR technique, not about the beer.
