US Government Should Arrest and Investigate Pat Robertson
Canadian Government Should Ban Pat Robertson

Calgary) The Islamic Supreme Council of Canada strongly condemns evangelist, Pat Robertson for lying about God. Pat Robertson said Tuesday God has told him that a terrorist attack on the United States would result in "mass killing" late in 2007. "I'm not necessarily saying it's going to be nuclear," he said during his news-and-talk television show "The 700 Club" on the Christian Broadcasting Network. "The Lord didn't say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that."

Syed Soharwardy, president of Islamic Supreme Council of Canada said today, “it is very likely that Pat Robertson and his acquaintances may be secretly planning to attack on Americans and then put blame on Muslims”. “We do not expect good things from these hatemongers. They would do any thing to harm humans. Therefore, we urge the US Homeland Security to arrest Pat Robertson immediately and investigate his claims thoroughly. These may not be his self-declared prophecies. He may be planning terrorist attacks. Therefore, it is critical that the US government arrest him and investigate him at the Guantanamo Jail.

Islamic Supreme Council of Canada also urges the Canadian government to stop Pat Robertson’s hatemongering and racist propaganda in Canada. It is important that the Canadian government should declare Pat Roberson undesirable person and ban his entry into Canada. Canadian government should also stop any donations and fund transfers to Pat Robertson and his ministries.

Once again, Syed Soharwardy has sent an email to Pat Robertson for a public debate at any place at any time.

I don't personally agree with anything Pat Robertson thinks, but do you guys think he should be arrested just for being a nut case?

FCC bans up Howard Stern because of his profanity, why the double standard? Pat Robertson is just as profane stirring hatred and intolerance.

I love this Sohawardy guy.
He's got some serious heart.

Can you guys imagine Pat Robertson in detention at Guantanamo (or better yet, Abu Ghraib)? Being forced into a naked pyramid, electrocuted, and led around on all fours while wearing a leash.
Funny, funny mental image. And an amazingly satisfying one.

I agree. I don't see a problem with heavily investigating him, or keeping an eye on him.

I think we should send him to one or both.
They should videotape his experience and air it on TV...I think it would get great reviews and it would send a warning out to Evangelicals that they better not pull any crap.

More prattle from the brainwashed minionss of islamarchy. It's laughable and so are they. Just ignore them.

Syed Soharwardy .... is simply a hatermongering islam-o-nazi who is the north american contenent's version of the ayetoiletbowl. He and his goon squad are a blight on canada and world.

In short, he's a terrorist-supporting jackass. Just ignore him and his hatemongering.

If anyrthing, Syed Soharwardy and his stooges should be investigated for subversive behavior and then deported from Canada.

"I agree. I don't see a problem with heavily investigating him, or keeping an eye on him."

And the pagan witchhunt starts............you guys are so tolerant.

Personally, I think Pat Robertson is a predjudiced, closed-minded, nut who has placed himself in a position where his rhetoric can be heard by many. However, as much as I find many of his positions to be obnoxious, the thought of arresting and jailing him for this is ridiculous, and those in the article calling for this are, undoubtedly, more dangerous then he.

Pat Robertson is a crazy nutcase, but that is legal in the U.S. I value free speech enough to put up with that moron.

It really doesn't deal with free speech as much as it does with being an actual threat to safety.
He can say the things he does, but whats for concern is that what he's saying may be a clue that he wants to do something bad.

LOL don't even start.
Since 2001, hundreds of innocent Muslims have been kidnapped from their everyday life and sent to Guntanamo Bay where they were tortured and denied all their rights.
Then after going through all of that it turns out "whoops we had the wrong person sorry...you can leave now"

Absolutely.
Many of the detainees being tortured in those Abu Ghraib photos have now been publicly identified; some were children (the hooded one standing on the box, hooked up to what appear to be electrical wires, for instance, was thirteen), some were guilty of minor crimes such as theft, and others were guilty of no crime at all, and hadn't even been charged with one; they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
If Robertson's words don't amount to "a Threat to National Security", then I don't know what would.
He belongs in a detention camp as much as or more than 99.9% of the detainees that are actually there.

And to fix that problem, you want to send your political enemies there.

If Robertson's words don't amount to "a Threat to National Security", then I don't know what would.

Someone who perhaps is actively working to blow something up? For example, smuggling c4 in with a "please deliver to the pentagon" stamp on them?

He belongs in a detention camp as much as or more than 99.9% of the detainees that are actually there.

Thats entirely irrelevant. Nobody belongs in Gitmo, not even Robertson. Our country is based on the rule of law, and that law applies to everyone, even our friend Pat.

America has to understand The rest of the world pays attention to what goes on in America and pat robertson get displayed as a fool (which he is) but also that he is well supported in America.

I also believe in freedom of speach this guy needs very smart people to argue with him on live tv to make him look like a complete brainless moron(which he is)

Yes the rest of the world looks at what we do. But who is Pat Robertson? He is outspoken, but many Christians like myself don’t look to him as anything more than a man giving his opinion. Most the time I think he should shut up, that he makes matters worse for those Christians who think he crosses the line, especially when he makes predictions based on what God told him, especially when he has made predictions in the past that have never happened. I think he is a godly man with very outspoken views that a large segment of the Christian population don’t support.

But like rathi said, he has every right to express his views. What has he done illegal? NOTHING

There are very outspoken liberals who make outrageous statements as well. Look at Carter………now hes a national security risk.

Pat a threat to safety? Oh Pleazzze. Left-wing hysterics…..and intolerance.

Everyday life? How do you figure? You think our military is that corrupt that Muslisms were taken for no reason at all?

And tortured? HOW?

Honey why don’t you compare their system of torture to ours? Tell me which one is worse? I just wonder if our Christian soldiers were given Bibles to read?

Which prison would you rather be in, ours or theirs?

What has Robertson done that is against any law in the United States?

Besides making an arse of himself by his words…….what has he done?
How is he really a threat to national security?

You liberals who hate the government, the military, the flag, our history……and EVERYTHING IT REPRESENTS……..Just like I said in another thread……….INTOLERANT LIBERALS who want to silence a certain segment of the population mainly Christians.

Rathi thank you for this post

Robertson will be arrested right after Bush is impeached. ;)

1. I don;t agree with everything Robertson says either, but I'd hardly call him a nutcase.

2. Why would you even consider the demands of a NGO based in a foreign country as grounds for arresting an American citizen?

I think we should send him to one or both.

Ah mor eintolerance from the party of tolerance. How do youspell that word? h-y-p-o-c-r-a-c-y???

How is what Robertson says any more a threat to safety than the idiots who want our top level intelligence gathering techniques splashed across the front page of every newsrag in the country??

Pat Robertson says some pretty outlandish things. However, he has every right in the world to do so. By banning him from saying such things or arresting him it would only legitimize what he is saying. I don't think he poses a threat to anything or anyone because I think enough people are smart enough to see through his nonsense. Nearly every religion has extremist nutcases like Robertson.

“Robertson will be arrested right after Bush is impeached.’

Right after the Democrats take over we have another 9-11 only this time five times as worse..........
