I was at an Academy Sports, shopping for sneakers this weekend, where I saw bunches of new, first-time gun owners making purchases and inquiries. One of the clerks hollered out to another, we're out of ammo in that caliber but there's a shipment on the way.

Average people are arming up, and it's getting a little scary the number of closed businesses, unemployed, rioters, and armed citizens that are getting anxious. It feels like society is coming a bit unraveled.

Armed Group Hoping To Protect Buildings On The Third Night Of Protests In Kenosha – CBS Chicago

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS) — Unrest continued for the third night in a row in Kenosha, Wisconsin Tuesday night, over the shooting of Jacob Blake.

The area near the courthouse has been a flashpoint for clashes between police and protesters in nights past. But on Tuesday night, the park brought out a mix of people including a group of armed Kenoshans going by the name "Armed Citizens to Protect Our Lives and Property."

Protesters exchanged words with the armed group as they vowed to protect the city from continued looting and burning. Heavily-armed former Kenosha Ald. Kevin Mathewson was amongst the crowd.

"Last night, I saw law enforcement outnumbered by thug looting scumbags who were burning down buildings," Mathewson said.

A protester yelled at the armed people, "That's why you are out here now, because you want revenge for buildings."

I think the gun violence in Kenosha last night, (the shooting of three, the death of one), pretty much proves your point.

What a bunch of idiots, taking the law into their own hands. An armed seventeen year old that thought he was helping to make matters better is now sitting in jail on a first degree murder charge.

It's different if one is buying a gun to protect themselves and their property because the not so peaceful protesters, looters and fire bombers are getting closer to peoples' homes, but for armed kids to be showing up with guns and thinking that they are helping the police, there's NO excuse for this.

Yes, we are becoming unraveled... time for some serious curfews.

I am sure the rest of the world is looking at America like it’s insane and burning. All of these armed people acting like this is very bad and dangerous to society. They are not trained. They acting more like a scattered militia, and it’s crazy. If we don’t get things under control, people will start killing each other. There will be mass shootings. This is stupid

Don't worry. I'm sure president Trump will seriously address racial inequalities in the US any day now and calm the situation. /s

As bad as we think police departments are, and they do need better guidelines and officer training, they're still better than the chaotic violence that's occurring.

I do not think police departments are bad. I think like every other profession, there are bad apples in every cart.
Now what do about them. Violence is not the answer.

This won’t be the last rogue cop/far-right militia event in swing states like Wisconsin and Minnesota.

(Instigator-in-chief) Trump moves right away to all CAPS, while dancing on the graves.

Now it’s Federal Troops and lying about DEM governors in N.C., MN, MI, PA and WI.
