I am curious if any of you have added to energy sectors or elsewhere believing Europe is in for a hell of a winter?

I could give a shit about Europe.

They sold their souls to Putin to bolster their own weak energy policies.

All I can say is they better install a bunch of solar panels before winter. Stupid ****s.

Funny that you think this is an European problem only. Energy prices are global.

The UK only gets a tiny amount of gas from Russia and we're also seeing high prices.
We have a bunch of the worlds largest offshore wind farms about to come online though and other measures but these things take time as infrastructure like power stations aren't built on a whim or quickly.
Especialy not in the UK where the planning laws are so restrictive and the public can send in objections that can bung up the process for years.

The title to the thread is Europe.......not the UK by itself. But anyways......this is exactly what happens when you don't think things through. There needs to be a balance of what you are doing away with and what you are bringing online to replace it.

The leadership in Europe (and the US for that matter) are not balancing. They were all too busy patting themselves on the back and saying "look at us"

Investments in what? Body bags?
Commodities and futures most likely. While it may be an opportunity, investing in these sectors is also risky, especially in small margin trades. Unless you can bet big like having an institutional account, I wouldn't bother.
