My native language is German, not English.

I had it in school, but didn't speak it for 17 years now (I sometimes speak English to customers on the phone from Hungary or other EU countries).

Your English is very good and your threads often interesting. As a fellow European, I like your non-US perspective on things.

Your English is just fine, your thread content of course varies as all of ours do. My own instinct on what will fascinate and what will bomb is less than stellar. Most of us have threads that we thought were going to get love, which died with three posts, and other threads that shocked us with 5 pages. The point is to post and not worry too much about the popularity of the content. Relax, and let us worry about what we like, and you worry about what you want to say.

Tender, I hope you're not offended by this, but when I was growing up, any time somebody mentioned Austria (usually about how beautiful it is), a crazy uncle of mine would say, "Austria makes me Hungary." I didn't catch the pun until years later when I learned a little history.

I'd also like to visit there someday.

I admire those that can pick up a language. I have never been able to do it myself.
