I am wondering if you all intend on seeing Mel Gibson's next movie, "Apocalypto."

It is Mel's next movie. It's about an ancient Mayan person who has to fight for his community, his wife, his family, etc. Here is the official website:

http://apocalypto.movies.go.com/

It's actually being filmed in the ancient Mayan tongue, "Yucatec Maya." This is of course remiscient of how The Passion of the Christ was filmed in Aramaic and Latin.

I personally think the movie sounds kind of interesting so I will probably go and see it at some point.

I agree - if its as well done as "Passion" it will be worth the time, effort and money to go see it.

The teaser trailer says Summer 2006 and the website says December 8th. Hmm.

To me, the trailer looked rather made-for-tv, unless a different trailer is out there that looks more compelling I'll wait for it to show up on HBO.

nope...

We dont go to the movies anymore....
Hell it will be on dvd just a few months after its release anyways...

Yup. I am a part of that group who will go see anything Mel. produces or is in just because it’s him. Though I haven’t quite gotten over What Women Want…….that was a bit…..disturbing.

lol Dude, yeah, that movie was different. I thought it was funny and interesting though in the sense of what kinds of things women look for in men. And of course the more I know about women, the better my chances of getting dates with them will be.
