* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Are you for Trickle Down Capitalism?

As I saw a few minutes ago on fake tv....the world's wealthiest twenty six people own as much money as three point four BILLION people.

well, you could steal the money from them. Is that what you recommend? Or, you could start a movement to alert people about who is getting really rich so they can stop buying products from them. IS that what you want?

you mean like in school books?? so you want free education????

of course the beauty and wonder of Republican capitalism is that its so fair. If bankers got it all we'd all be free to start our own banks until banking was no more profitable than other industries. Do you understand?

Lol, go try to start a bank and get back to me!

Don't be silly; there are 7000 banks in America. Its far far far easier to start a bank than a car company. Do you understand that you will always be wrong until you find the IQ to understand freedom and capitalism?

So I'm not making apple rich.

if you don't like that he's rich you can encourage others not to buy apple and Tesla too. If his cars take off he'll;get really rich! If you are good you can start a movement to kill off all the great entrepreneurs before they make a penny!

You can have capitalism even with different monetary systems. Our current monetary system is a debt based ones that benefits only the banks who collect interest on money that they don't have, and who come to own everything. We can have a monetary system that benefits all of society instead of parasitical financiers.

There are plenty of people that do not live in debt.

Doesn't matter. Every dollar in circulation is tied to debt, with interest.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Are you for Trickle Down Capitalism?

Liberals call capitalism "trickle down" while conservatives call it "flood down". Republican flood down capitalism is, for example,* when Steve Jobs invents a super complex state-of-the art smart phone computer, and makes it so cheap that most of the world can afford it, or, when so much pay floods down to Americans they can spend $1 trillion on Christmas, or, when 2.6 million of us can afford to board planes every day in America.

Liberals pretend they don't like flood down capitalism so call it trickle down capitalism to imply not enough trickles down. There solution is trickle down welfare which would undermine the great flood downward always underway in America. Can anyone agree with liberals on this?

"Trickle down' refers to the coddling of the wealthy "job creators" with tax cuts and other perks in the false hope that they will share their good fortune with the "rabble". Capitalism functions by greed primarily which means Govt. must control the greed for it to function correctly for most of the population. Progressive taxes are the preferred method for that control since taxing income not spent at a higher rate helps to increase GDP growth while maintaining revenue and punitive rates on exorbitant incomes discourages pillaging for short term gains. It also appears that these punitive rates led to greater sharing of increased profits with workers. This is what led to the rapid growth in the postwar period where increased productivity lifted all boats instead of just a few and CEO's made 20 times what their workers did rather then 300 times like they do today.

there are already 7000 so why would I??? Certainly I would start a bank a lot easier than a car company or PC company. You can become a conservative too and then you won't be wrong all the time. It cant be fun to be a liberal?

totally wrong of course. The wealthy pay all the taxes and poor pay none so its perfectly wrong to say the wealthy are coddled. Do you see how your socialist handlers tricked you?

for 123rd time: One company is functioning on greed; its competitor is functioning on loving its customers and employees. Guess which one goes bankrupt under Republican capitalism?

I pride myself on being able to make complex things simple enough for a liberal to understand. Notice how in main stream culture liberalism is presented as legitimate but under a tiny bit of scrutiny we quickly see what it really is.

Post War was when we had only economy left standing in entire world!! Shameless liberal dishonesty.

Lol! Talk about a weak argument.

LOL The rest of the world was broke and we had to lend them the money to rebuild. That's how well our economy was doing and it was all because of domestic consumer spending and not exports which lagged until the 1970's. That myth has been thoroughly debunked.

Even Reagan knew that slashing their tax rates and regulations was coddling and that is when the "trickle down" myth was started. He claimed that "supply side" economics would boost wages. Is that your contention too? You do know that our primary economic problems are low wages and wealth disparity.

Which companies stock goes up more? The one with the best profit growth of course. That is the company who skimps on wages and outsources for even cheaper wages. In other words the greedy ones who save on their largest expense...labor. Just look at how labor costs plummeted in the last 35 years.

the one that treats its customers and workers best. If you doubt it for a split second start a business and treat your workers and customers badly. See how easy that was?

if true I'll pay you$10,000. BEt?? or run away with your liberal tail between your legs

obviously true. Wages go up when new inventions are supplied to make us more productive. Econ 101 class one day one!! Did you ever think a econ course would be a good idea?

well, the wall is an immorality, so lets knock it down and invite 30 million more illegals in to see if that will raise wages! Embarrissing!!!

So we had the only economy left untouched in the world and it should not have performed well?? Why?? Also, if we let them borrow US dollars to buy from us don't you think that helped our economy boom? Also, if govt collected less of GDP in taxes then than now don't you think that would have made economy boom?

The debate on this has long been over. There is no one who has studied this in any level of depth who thinks trickle down economics works. Not in this country. Not anywhere in the world.

Here is the graph of the growth of disparity in the US since Reagan's trickle down policies in the 1980s. Do you see any trickle down?
