Are you afraid of snakes?

As a rule, I love snakes. I don't like poisonous snakes around my property, but that's just because I worry that one of my grandchildren or I will get snake bit working out in the garden.

I don't mind snakes either. My son used to catch them constantly. Just garter snakes though. Poisonous snakes are pretty rare around here.
 
Actually, he used to catch some big black snakes too. I can't remember what they're called but they live around and near water. They are two kinds that are very similar. I think one is poisonous (one of very few around here but not deadly), and the other isn't.

Anyway, my son knows all about snakes, lizards, turtles, all that stuff. He was always bringing something home with him and wanting to keep it as a pet. :lol:
