Are we going to have a Schumer shutdown of the government?

By the Presidents own words this is HIS shutdown. He can go back on it fifty times but he clearly stated he would take full and knowledgeable responsibility for any shutdown that would happen on the wall funding issue.

He has the best (third grade level) words! (Because he loves the poorly educated.) To his base, if he said it; that makes it true, even if it contradicts what he said 5 minutes ago. It's the post truth era and his supporters eat it right up.:roll:

A funding bill for the government needs to be passed that also has the 5 billion dollars for the wall. The president wants it, the people want it, and the house has passed it. It is ONLY Schumer and his cohorts that dont want it.

So yes-------------it will rightly be called the Schumer Shutdown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep trying, but Trump the rump put his name on the shutdown. The majority of Americans gave Trump a bloody nose courtesy of the midterms. Most of us know who the petulant immature one is here, and its not Schumer.

The wall issue shows how divided are elected officials are on the issue. It also highlights how Congress and the President seem to be unable to pass budgets on time. The passing of a budget was an issue way before the current administration. Trump is not helping with his ego.

In the end those who get hurt are the workers laid off. Hoping they can negotiate not paying or partial paying bills till the checks start again. Of course that hurts the vendors who are owed money.

Good job Congress. Good job President Trump. Hopefully voters will remember your incompetence come election time

Actually the latest poll shows that 54% do not want a wall. So yor argument is moot. And the idea that a wall will do anyone but Trump any good makes me want it even less. I garee with many here, We build the wall when Trump can convince the Mexican's to pay for it as he promised.

The cult will hold their despot to only selective promises. When confronted with the reality of this impractical boondoggle, they'll claim it needs to be built because Numnuts is just fulfilling his campaign promise.

But the campaign promise that Mexico will pay for it? Well let's just ignore that promise. After all according to him;

...The wall will be paid for very easily, by Mexico. It will ultimately be paid for by Mexico,” Trump said at the White House after meeting with FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

The president offered no specifics or explanation of why he thinks that Mexico would pay for the wall...

The cult will buy this as readily as they believe, "there was no collision", he's the smartest person in the room or that his gut will MAGA. Yet they'll never realize, much less confront, their self-delusions...
