Are Republicans really planning on brushing the 1/6 insurrection under the rug once they take power in November?

Many of those crimes were prosecuted. Being they were under the purview of the state government's law enforcement, there wasn't anything for congress to do. This whataboutism is getting very stale.

Everything that happened on Jan. 6th meets every definition for insurrection I could find. Can you explain that away? Or is it just your projection?

They don't intend going past August/September. Public hearings planned for May/June. They're not stupid. They know what republicans will do if they win the house.

What's stopping them for now is they're not done with the investigation. We all know they have plenty of evidence on Trump and his coup plotter allies. The idea is to wrap up before the election and see to it that the DOJ has all the evidence. This DOJ keeps on going until Jan. 2025. Plenty of time for grand juries and indictments.

It is not the job of the committee to provide prosecutors with enough evidence to prosecute. That is the job of the DOJ and we can rest assured they have a lot more info than the committee plus they can impanel a Grand Jury......let Meadows try and say no to that! The job of the Committee is to inform the public and recommend legislative steps and reforms that can be taken to ensure this never happens again.

LOL, yeah Russia meddled in our elections, but now we know the Hillary campaign and the DNC colluded with Russia to oust a duly elected President.....the actual coup was from the left, who used intelligence agencies, lied on FISA warrants and actually spied on an opponent.....truly criminal and pathetic.

But too many people were fooled by the propaganda the media put the country through so the DNC could cover their tracks, wasted millions of taxpayer money for a charade......and even after being proven innocent they cannot let go of the lies....it's incredulous. Fast forward and now the same thing is happening with Jan. 6th, and the gullible are falling for it all over again....lol.

No. but I will guarantee you the committee will hand over what they have to the DOJ. They may or may not do it in the form of criminal referrals, but never the less, they will share notes.

The only problem we have at this point is we don't know what the DOJ has. That's how it must be, unfortunately.

What happened on Jan. 6th was tangible video evidence. We all saw it unfold live. It did not happen in a vacuum. There was planning, and a lot of it.

Two wrongs don't make a right. You investigate Hillary and we'll investigate Trump. When it's all over, we'll compare felony convictions. How's that?

From the investigation of the FBI, there was found no mass conspiracy or planning on the 6th.....but the truth is not what they are after, now are they? This is nothing but a political toy for the left to use coming up to the Nov elections, that's all it is, period.

That was almost a year ago. Don't fool yourself, much has changed since then. They have a grand jury now looking into it.

You all live in a fantasy world....there was no mass conspiracy to overthrow the government, lol. They were simply concerned the election was a fraud and they have a right to object....hell the democrats do it all the time.

The legal precedent will have been set. It will all just get brushed under the rug, and this will be the routine new way government functions (or not) here in the United States. Don’t go crying to the courts at that point. But hey, you never liked Government anyway and thought we would all be better off without it, so it shouldn’t be a problem, right?

If democrats spend their time acting like republicans, why vote for them?

There are more than 2 parties in this nation and neither one of the two parties can win an election on their own.

They need people like me, Independents.

If you think people like me are going to vote for what we hate, think again.

You might want to try to start acting like mature adults. Don't spend years condemning conservative actions then turn around and do what you spent years condemning.

You seem to be of the impression the Committee's focus is on the actions of the crowd January 6th. It's not.
