The ongoing attacks on India, by, principally the terrorists trained in Pakistan
Madrases who are evidently not being restrained by the Pakistani Authorities.

The attacks are an attempt to force / coerce India into allowing / granting full Independence to the Indian province of Kashmir which India refuses to grant.

If these 2 nations do go to war, how far off is a nuclear conflagration as they are both nuclear powers with the required methods of delivery?

And who else will be pulled into the mess.

Ostensibly Russia is very friendly with India while Pakistan is close to the USA(by virtue of being bribed to assist in the (war on terror)).

China could easily simply sit on the sidelines and pick up the pieces afterrward.

its a delicate situation. First of all both are nuclear countries like you said. Also the problem is that Pakistan gets support from other countries (i.e the US) without reprimand for their lax policies on terrorists and extremists in their country. Would the countries go to war. No, I think the world would try hard to convince India not to start war, and India will then probably pull back.
