NEW YORK (AP) — A New York appeals court ruled Thursday that President Donald Trump isn’t immune from a defamation lawsuit filed by a former “Apprentice” contestant who accused him of unwanted kissing and groping.

A panel of judges on the Supreme Court Appellate Division said in their ruling, in a case brought by Summer Zervos, that the Supremacy Clause of the U.S. Constitution doesn’t require trials in state court to be delayed until the president is out of office.

If somebody like Gloria Allred dropped her - a year ago - over the same suit, I'd say it doesn't look too good for her.
On the other hand, maybe Avenatti could help her ...

I think she might have surfaced with this suit post-campaign/election so she was under the Groper-in-Chief's radar.

Donnie Moscow had argued that that the Constitution makes the President completely immune from being sued in state court, even when the suit concerns pre-office conduct. The Court correctly told President Trump he’s wrong.

And that's rather delicious.

Gloria Allred is a Democratic Party operative, but even she is not that stupid. She knows this woman is a liar, and will no longer defend her.
Her only purpose in this was to parade this woman among the other ten and use them to influence the outcome of the election.
IF any of these women could actually prove their cases against Trump she'd still be all in.

eta: I am not saying Allred is all bad...she's done a lot of good things in her life for women causes and for protecting children, but the above is a case where she forgot her ethics and took one for her team.
