Saints vs. Cardinals in the Dome today.

Saints favored by 7 and the over/under is 49.
I'll take the under but the Saints should (easily) cover.

We have to get the running game in gear so we aren't quite so one dimensional. Our defense is improving despite the fact that we have injuries in the middle of the D line and we've lost 3 good linebackers for the season (so far).

If I decide to watch a game, it'll be from home. There's no way I'll pay the sort of highway robbery prices they charge for tickets these days. Ain't happenin...

That.... and then there's the crowds and the traffic to deal with. Given the choice of being in a large crowd, or being destined to solitude on an uncharted island, I'd opt for the island any day.

I'm going to all the NFL home games at Dallas. I'm the janitor.
Good, honest, necessary work. There must be a hundred (or more) needed in THAT stadium. It's a palace.

Yeah, I know...I'm not wealthy by any means but I've had the tix for 11 years and it's a hard habit to break.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of crowds either - though in some cases they make an event. But a cattle call to a highway robbery, PLUS all the asinine security measures that take away things like water bottles before you enter the gates, immediately beyond which you see the team owner selling those very same water bottles for ten times the price you paid for yours. And all for what - to see a bunch of deviant, criminal, professional prima donnas whose only concern for the "fan" is the money we pay them?

:rantoff: :D

Last time I went it was on a free pass with some people from church. Our team lost. ;)

I won't go to NFL games, way too expensive for me, plus Football is a much better TV sport, IMO. I'm glad people do go though, it keeps it on TV for me to watch for free. :)

Yeah, I guess it's more comfortable to watch at home but I record it and watch again later anyway. Rewind, slo mo, etc...
It's a fun social event.

York, Penn. eh? Who do you like, Steelers, Eagles, Redskins, Jets or Giants? You're surrounded by teams. :)

Going to an NFL game is done more as a social event than it is for watching the game. You really can't beat the high-tech, multiple camera coverage provided by the networks.

Naturally. That's a given.

On tv you get what they show you and they follow the ball 99% of the time. A lot is missed that way.
I'd like the networks to provide the "all 22" camera shot.THAT shows exactly what's going on....but they won't.
