I am a certified car freak. Currently I have a 2006 Pontiac GTO. Last weekend we tore the engine down and added ported and polished dart heads, a comp 224/581 cam, and SLP long tube headers. After the dyno tune I had 408 RWHP. Not bad.

past cars are

Dodge Ram SRT/10 Viper truck
1989 Turbo Trans Am (Indy pace car)
1998 Ram Air Trans AM
countless mustang cobras....too many to name.

anyone else love cars?

I love my MR2 Turbo. I'm sure you'll hate it for being japanese, but its my personal dream car. Not much done to it other than boost control and bolt ons.

im not an import hater at all.

and im a big fan of turbos, hence the 1989 TA I owned. The damn thing was fast. really fast.

no one that raced it believed it was a V6 untill I showed them.

It had meth injection, injectors, a chip, adjustable wastegate, and a few other bolt ons.

I'll talk cars all day long if you wish, but unfortunately I'm confined to armchair enthusiast status for the forseeable future.:(

Good looking car history there Proud American, lots of recent muscle cars. Kudos for the '06 GTO, they dropped that pretty quickly didn't they? It'll be a rare one, and extra kudos for the Ram SRT10, very esoteric choice. That may be dropped soon due to limited sales, you'll be able to say you had one.

Lachean, what generation is your mister two? I think you mentioned in another thread that you were looking to get some new body parts for it, was that you?

2nd Generation, a 1993. Its a black turbo @ 15psi. After I pay down a little more credit card debt she's getting new shoes and going into the paintshop for a fresh coat.

the one I should have kept was the 89 TTA. I plan on having another one in a couple of years, as long as one with around 5 thousand miles on it is still in existence for below 25k

mine only had 6k miles on it when I sold it a year ago. they are fast becomming collectors.

the SRT 10 was sold due to rising gas prices. even though I dont drive any of these cars daily, 9 miles to the gallon just didnt make sinse the way the price of gas is rising.

the GTO is fun for sure. very well built. The independant rear suspension has already proved very useful at a local close road coarse.

The last GTO was essentially a Holden Monaro rebadged as a Pontiac, GM actually sold it in Europe and Britain badged as Opel/Vauxhall respectively, albeit briefly. It got great reviews from the motoring press here so it must be pretty good. I think it probably got killled off because of petrol prices, but the badge they put on it is very mundane here, they would have been better selling it as a Holden or Pontiac, they're brands that would have seemed a little more exotic.

Lachean, will you be changing the colour or just freshening up the finish?

Yep. the car is very well built. none of the normal GM rattles or noises. very nice interior. very quiet inside as well.

however, they did have a problem with the 2006 front struts. my car only has 700 miles and they are already leaking.
GM is aware of the problem and will probably be doing a recall.
mine is going into the shop tuesday to have them replaced.

Drive car - Golf TDI
Work in progress - Subaru WRX STI
Joint car - RX8

is the WRX driveable? (only ask because you said its a work in progress)

I bet its a fun car to drive.

Drivable yes, but not yet tweaked to how I want it yet; still has a bit too much roll to it.
It's not a pretty car, but it's one helluva great drive.

Full sanding down and respray, same color. Im going to stick with black, but I intend to use a darker black and include a little pearl in it.
