Here is an interesting article that makes the case that Antifa is increasingly becoming a problem for the non-violent left-wing demonstrators.
'Antifa' violence in Berkeley spurs soul-searching within leftist activist community - LA Times
When it reaches an unacceptable point...and it will...those peaceful lefties will be forced to forget about asking Antifa to be nice and they'll have to just kick Antifa's ass to protect themselves. So it goes...
You think that's a joke, but it was an accurate reflection of the Food forum until Militant Vegan finally got himself banned.
lol...good grief, hadn't seen that go down... Those Vegans are such Nazi Commie Anarchists!! haha
That's a really cruel thing to say about Nazis and Antifa, and I don't believe their behavior is anywhere near as bad as the **** vegans pull.
You are absolutely right, I retract my statement without reservation, **** vegans! lol ...
With all the discussion around AntiFa and their opposition to "Freedom of Speech", I figured it might be fun to post what AntiFa is saying. This is from their website, which I checked out thanks to one of our Right leaning friends here at DP.

Now, before this turns into a giant "**** YOU, NATE!!!", I will lead out by saying that I am not specifically condoning, endorsing, or defending anything herein, this was merely to provide context for those interested in knowing where AntiFa stands, so as to avoid talking out one's ass about things they don't really totally know about.
That said, the author makes some pretty damn good points, and it would be interesting to see it debated, if we can avoid this turning into 50 pages of "AntiFa sucks, **** you!!" "No, Nazis suck, **** you!!" "No, the Left sucks, **** you!!" "No, the Right sucks, **** you!!".
And yet, as you guys fight each other, none of the problems get solved... Sometimes when I put my tinfoil thinking cap on, I can imagine a reality where the Nazis and AntiFa are both on the government payroll, to keep the rest of you pointing fingers at each other instead of holding your government accountable for the shady stuff they're engaged in.
I think his contention that there is no free speech in this country ludicrous. I'll agree that poor and uneducated may not have the same access to the tools that allow for wide dissemination of speech but that is hardly the same thing as saying that there is no free speech in practice. As well his conflating of speech with with police shootings of minorities is utterly senseless.

It's not really Nazis and AntiFa, it's Republicans and Democrats and that is pretty much exactly their game as it stands now.

Well, yes, both sides (Rep and Dem parties) will benefit from this division - at this point it looks like the Dems more than the GOP will benefit, based on how the numbers are lining up, but ya, politicians and news media, those are the only ones benefitting from this never ending battle royale...and if I were as shady as they are, and I could figure out how to do it under the radar, I would pay whatever I need to in order to keep it going, because the ROI is just so delish.
"you guys"??
Take your crap and shove it. I've been very clear and have stated often that I condemn all of those violent, bigoted, hateful groups...just like Trump did.
Antifa is your problem.
Well, that escalated quickly... By you guys, I simply meant Americans. I'm Canadian. Simmer down.
Well, don't get complacent or condescending while you hang out way up north. Seems you have your own Nazi/Antifa problems.

And remember...they don't like liberals, either.

Antifa is a violent anarchist group. These are the same people that start fires and break windows in Europe whenever there is summit meeting of some sort. They want an end to government and, in the case of the U.S., they want an end to this country. They use violence and intimidation to further their agenda. I hate to tell you but what they write in a web site is meaningless. They are dangerous and criminal, not for what they believe or say but for what they do. They appear to be far more violent than the Nazis - another dangerous and criminal group. There is no point in reading whitewash on a web site. I'm surprised you suggested anyone read it unless you are trying to further their agenda.

Why? I mean, people on here talk about AntiFa all the time...doesn't it behoove people to know exactly what they are talking about? I mean, you can't fix a problem until you understand it...just standing around with your arms crossed saying "AntiFa are dicks!" isn't really fixing anything, is it?
Neither is reading what they write.
Of course it does...it helps to understand why they exist, and what they want. Why learn anything then? lol... This feels like the debate equivalent of a pout.
