Riiiiighhht.......and I suppose that you don't find anything at all credible or interesting in what people like Charlton Heston, Chuck Norris, Dennis Miller and Mel Gibson have to say....right?

I know you were responding to NP, but you would have accused me of the same thing anyway.

Let me say, I think the blathering republican hollywood types are just as irritating. Certainly they are entitled to say anything they want, but their privledge of celebrity ought to make them ack more responsible. Nope, I think they all should shut up and use their celebrity to entertain and not bloviate about policy.

CA...I appreciate that......Personally, I am not one who puts a lot of credence in celebrities on either side...but then again....I don't think the majority of people do either.
I think most people are intelligent enough to realize that Celebrities have a right to their opinion just like anyone else...but also don't give extra credibility to it because they ARE a celebrity.
The bottom line is this....Celebrities due to their status...have access to the media....then there are people like us...who only have access to boards like this. I don't fault them for using whatever they have access to to voice their opinion. The problem is not with them doing that....the problem is with people on either side that treat whatever they say as golden just because of their statusl.
