Anti-vaccine protesters temporarily shut down major coronavirus vaccine site at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles

These people are obviously lunatics, but no masks while outside is a very low risk of transmission.

That depends on their proximity to one another. Certainly its lower risk than indoors, but if its shoulder to shoulder its no longer low risk.

I took the liberty of removing the non-answer from you post.

Do you deny that 460,000+ people have died in the US due to COVID?

You used words like "hoax" and "hype".

Just an FYI: the poster you just responded to has written here that if he became infected with Covid he would gladly continue to go to work. He has also posted that he won't wear masks that are not vented, even if he became infected because "they fog up my glasses".
So consider the source.

then the summer riots were far more violent than the media reported...

They were totally misguided too. While I agree with the principle that in this country racial inequality has to be addressed that message was lost in the riots. People have a guaranteed right to protest, but no one can endanger others with weapons (and Covid IS a weapon IMO if it is potentially being exposed upon innocent citizens by morons not wearing a mask) or by lighting businesses on fire...or by obstructing roads to make a point etc. Protest all you want, but do it responsibly.

That depends on their proximity to one another. Certainly its lower risk than indoors, but if its shoulder to shoulder its no longer low risk.

Even then, it depends upon the number of people and the time people spend in close proximity. Of the millions of cases of Covid, we only know of a handful that were transmitted outside.

I anticipate that at some point some maskless lunatic is going to shout in the face of someone waiting in line for a vaccine injection and get injected with a couple hundred grains of lead. Sane people are very worried about this disease and desperate to get vaccinated. Many have carry permits.
that would be an interesting court case to be sure. somehow I don't see that as reasonably being considered self defense.

Duration and proximity of exposure are certainly factors, but the main reason its not known how many cases were contracted outdoors is that our contact tracing sucks. The virus is so far out of control that its not known where people got it.
As I recall the jackass had a party in the Rose Garden (obviously outdoors) and several people probably caught it there.
But this is beside the point: the morons who were protesting the right of others to get vaccinated were breaking the state law by not wearing masks-and potentially exposing others to Covid.
That makes them idiots and criminals imo, no matter how low the risk is.

Other countries with excellent contact tracing systems can't find too many cases that were contracted outdoors. For example, China has only identified one. At that Rose Garden ceremony, there were numerous small events indoors that many of the participants attended as well.

I am just saying this because a lot of people just walk down the street wearing a mask, but where it is important is indoors.

oh. like how some democrats said they wouldn't take any vaccine Trump was involved with?
btw, there are still studies going on that show HCQ reduces hospitalizations and mortality. the idea of using that drug was never based only on Trumps word.
https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/y...ng-for-fighting-covid-with-hydroxychloroquine
and, it looks like the idea of internal disinfectant (not bleach or lysol because Trump never actually suggested those) is not such a goofy idea afterall.
https://www.docsoutsidethebox.us/po...o-help-with-respiratory-infections-like-covid
https://trendingpolitics.com/trump-...disinfecting-of-people-is-already-being-done/

assuming that those treatments had only limited benefit, I wonder how many lives still could have been saved by their use had they not been demonized.
I remember a democrat politician once saying in regards to a different issue "...If only one life could be saved... "
as the dust settles, it appears that what was more important to the democrats over the last 4 years all along was only to mock, embarrass, attack and assault Trump in every way possible, whether it was true or not.

Vacines which are not approved a carry a much bigger risk of triggering severe side effects that can actually cost lives. This is not a case of "if only one life could be saved"

In April 1955 more than 200 000 children in five Western and mid-Western USA states received a polio vaccine in which the process of inactivating the live virus proved to be defective. Within days there were reports of paralysis and within a month the first mass vaccination programme against polio had to be abandoned. Subsequent investigations revealed that the vaccine, manufactured by the California-based family firm of Cutter Laboratories, had caused 40 000 cases of polio, leaving 200 children with varying degrees of paralysis and killing 10.

Did not your news sources inform you about such incidents or did they choose again to support political hackery by criticizing Harris for a statement that should NOT be controversial at all?

Testing has come a long way since 1955, as has quality control.
That said, feces happens. There have been quality control issues in other areas too: meds, foods etc. Its unrealistic to expect nothing but smooth sailing for any vaccine.

Testing has come a long way because of advances in science.

The statement that some people try to present as being supposedly controversial is about not trusting a vaccine that has only Trump's support . Under such conditions, there is not reason to trust such vaccine as a result of the accomplishments of modern science anymore than you will trust a rocket design sponsored only by a president who is into appeasing flat-earthers.
