Does anyone wonder why they want to stack the courts? they come up with a pretense for blocking asylum seekers, and the courts say whether it's ok. Or whether a real president can even undo it. Biden can appeal - we can hope the appeals court isn't too stacked also, but then there's the Supreme Court, nuff said.

This is what happens when judges rule on the law and not on politics. Still, it's just a temporary stay.

Fortunately they're working on that situation.

Well, the law is intended to be used during pandemics. If we are over the pandemic, it would seem the law is of no use anymore.

What law is that?
USC 42 Section 262

Not exactly. It is a law for the regulation of biological products. In this instance, it provides for the medical examination of persons prior to entering the country. It predates COVID but enforcement was increased during the pandemic.

Note that this is distinct from the so-called Stay in Mexico policy.

Indeed. It is not intended to regulate immigration and asylum law.

It is not regulating immigration or asylum law.

There appears to be no issue enforcing this at ports of entry. Why is it different for those attempting to bypass a port?

Hooray for checks and balances.

Lol, it's about the pandemic, which you guys never even admitted was real.

You can't have it both ways.

What's the point?

why does the left want to open the country up to tons of uninspected immigrants-many of whom have no useful skills nor trades and a substantial minority are hard core criminals?

Great!! Make it as hard as possible. Living in a shit-hole country doesn't automatically grant amnesty. When Russia invades Central America get back to us.

What's the point?
The OP assumes that the judge is ruling on his political preference, presumably because that is what he would do in the judge's position. The point is that there is an actual law that must be respected.

Love the vagueness here.

It's wasn't "respected" before the pandemic, why must it be respected now?

Who says it was not respected before the pandemic? It wasn't adjudicated, perhaps.
