Just want to know your opinion about President Clinton. The poll probably seems overly simplistic, but I think most responses would go one way or the other. Also, for you liberals out there, lets not turn this into a huge debate. This is a basic poll and conservatives ought to be able to give their opinion without liberals jumping all over it.

Bill Cliton does what's best for Bill Clinton, and that is his guide for all his decisions.

While that isn't inherently a bad thing, he did it while he was President - and as President you're supposed to do what's best for the country, not yourself.

Agreed. I wonder if that is why the current presidents approval rating are hovering in the low 30's? I would think he would have learned something from Slick Willy.

Hey, the choice's given in the poll are pretty slim. Howza about "both" or "none of the above?" Or better yet:

3. A dynamic president with the morals of an alley cat?

He seems like a decent guy. I'd probably get along with him alright, if we stayed away from politics.

As was stated earlier, however, it seems to me that Clinton indeed did worry about himself first.

Clinton's approval ratings when he was president were never in the low 30s. And most people have a favorable view of Clinton, looking back on his presidency.

What, for getting a blowjob? I think that makes him a human being, not some kind of amoral entity. Or were you referring to some of the financial "scandals" that the GOP literally invented out of thin air?

I am referring to a married, middle aged man, with a child, who let's his intern suck his Johnson and sticks cigars up her twat. That's what I personally consider the "morals of an alleycat." Call me crazy, I dunno.

But I would have lied about it too.

But, that being said, I do think he was one of our better presidents.

he is a serial adulterer
he is a despicable person
only thing worse than that is a power hungry whore who puts up with his crap so she can rise in power
some just fell for his charming personality
which was honed being a man-whore his whole life
the only good things about his presidency were that he just happened to be in office at the time

Lots of men do that. I'm not saying that their actions are right, but surely you don't consider them all to be bad people? Sometimes human failings get the better of human beings... but with most people it isn't broadcast on national television.

So much for the "sanctity of marriage" argument...

I just LOVE it when supposedly pro-family conservatives criticize Hillary Clinton for NOT seeking a divorce.

No doubt. And lots of men (as well as women) do that, for sure. They have the morals of alley cats too. It don't make 'em evil bad people who are useless and beyond redemption.....just makes them immoral. That's all.

I should be so lucky...... I could get into a twenty year old little intern about right now, going under my desk and.....

<phone rings>

Hi honey. Not much, I'm just here at work thinking about you and the kids. Pick up a loaf of bread and some milk? Sure, anything for you angel. Love you too. Bye.

Now.....where was I?

Bill Clinton is a very intelligent man but he is a man of flawed moral character.......He disgraced the office of the presidency worse then any other president in history.........

He should have resigned like Nixon did.......

I can see that. But you know the presidents these days..... Not even Bush is willing to resign.

Now...if Clinton was porkin' Marylyn Monroe , that would be a different story altogether. He would have been a demigod like Kennedy!

Yeah, if Bill Clinton committed an impeachable offense, it was having terrible taste in women.

Presidents resign for comitting high crimes and misdemeanors......President Bush has not been charged or accused of neither unlike you hero "Slick Willie" who lied under oath which is a felony..........

Clinton supporters LOVE to talk about that bj, but rarely discuss the million and one other scandals.

So we should make presidents resign just for being ACCUSED of crimes?

And your president authorized the leak of classified information then lied about it, tapped phones without warrants in direct violation of the law, lied to start a war, etc.

But in neither Clinton's case nor Bush's case did the votes exist for removal from office. In Clinton's case, because the charges were stupid and petty. In Bush's case, because the GOP controls Congress and the Democrats are ******s. So kvityerbitchin.

Obstruction of justice isn't a petty crime.

1. Slick Willie was accused of a crime, a federal judge found that he lied under oath...That is a felony........

2. All horse puckey and you know it........Apresident can do what it takes to protect this country even though liberals like you don't want protected.......

3. Clinton was impeached by the HOR........Lying under oath to a federal judge is not stupid and petty.....Its a felony......

I think Clinton's genuine care for the little guy is beyond reproach.
Quickly coming to mind is those folks down in white water.
How gracious of him to sell the same homes again and again so that people
with little to spare could have their chances at defaulting on a poor loan.
That takes courage.

.

Well they are from the same banking and financing country club, the CFR.
You wouldn't expect either's policies to differ that greatly, nor would you expect either to be nearly what they portray.

I'm curious. Adultery gives you the "morals of an alleycat". What type of morals do you have to illegally sells arms to Iran to fund counter-revolutionary rebels in Nicaragua?

I'm not saying that Clinton was a saint. He was an intelligent but weak man who let himself be brought down for a quick thrill and then broke the law trying to cover it up. But why is it that what Clinton did is always pointed as the paragon of moral indecency when Reagan sold arms to a sworn enemy of the US who wants our country destroyed, and then is hailed as one of the greatest presidents ever?

Well, ya gotta take the attention off of Bush and his minions and his mounting failures anyway you can. You can only count on Michael Jackson and Aruba for so long, ya know.

I get a real kick outta the Clinton haters as they point out his indescretions and out of the other side of their mouth they are praising JFK.

Those would be the morals of a republican cat.

If that's what the federal judge found, then why isn't Clinton in prison today?

OK. Prove Bill Clinton's obstruction of justice was less national security-related than, say, Bush authorizing the Valerie Plame leak. Go.

No kidding. What's your point...that he should have been impeached because he was impeached?

There's no reason it can't be both.
