The Political Compass
This one works along two axis, one for social issues and one for economics and its pretty detailed. One of the more accurate online quizes in my mind.

I came out:
Economic Left/Right 3.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian -2.21

Which basically plops me right were I identify myself, a moderate libertarian.

This is pretty old, I score Ec. Left and Soc. Auth, which is just where I am, I call myself some sort of Marxist-Leninist...

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: 0.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.74

Relatively moderate economically, and one of those society-corrupting liberals socially. ;)

Economic Left/Right: 0.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.54

making me a moderate rightist libertarian?

it's because i answered strongly supportive on all the social permissiveness questions.

Economic Left/Right: -2.12
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.36

That puts me left of center economically, which I find hard to believe. Maybe I'm left of center by world standards, but not by US standards.

Economic Left/Right: 4.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.54

Which seems about right to me.

I'm over with Gandhi and Mandela. It is rather interesting (although not unexpected) to see nearly all of the 2007 primary candidates in the upper right hand corner. Guess I'll just go on being unrepresented.

Thanks for the link- those are fun.

Economic Left/Right: -3.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.26

not much of a surprise for me there

Left leaning libertarian type I guess. I can live with that.

Of course it always amuses me when people accuse me of being a Bush Loving conservative hate monger. WTF dude?

Economic Left/Right: 1.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.36

Right leaning Libertarian. No surprises here.

My own

Economic Left/Right: 5.62
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.56

I found some of the question false choices though.

Economic Left/Right: -4.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.31

Almost same place as Gandhi, go figure

This is an old test but I've taken it before and came out about the same:

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: 1.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.54

I pretty much share my views with nobody famous. :)

Economic Left/Right: -6.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.69

Puts me in the company of Ghandi.....a man that I certainly admire.

Last time I took this I was economic lean 3.88 and social lean of around -1.0

Now I came in at a 4. something economically and a -2. something socially. So being at DP has made me more conservative and more libertarian at the same time :2razz:

I came out almost dead center, just one block left and up. So I guess I am in favor of a minimal amount of authority, just enough to deal with those who need it. The rest of us should be able to control ourselves without help from big brother.

Get a little more right wing economically and you'll be in some good company!

That's okay, I pass. The problem is, I support a lot of semi-conservative ideas, but for reasons that seem utterly foreign to most conservatives. Same goes with fiscal concepts for reasons that would be confusing for most fiscal conservatives.

I'm happy just being myself, I don't need anyone else to make me feel worthwhile.

LOL, right in the middle where I thought I was.

Funny how so many of you claim that you know what you are other then simply stating you inormation gained...

Sounds a tad egotistical to me...:rofl

Perhaps it wasn't so funny after all... :(

It's an old test, most of us have taken it before so the results aren't exactly earthshattering. Further, we've all taken similar tests, we know where our results land if the test is at all accurate.

Why is that egotistical?

The last time I took it I ended up something like

Economic: 2.5ish
Social: -2.5ish
