I'm for banning guns. It's time.
Time has come to ban these things.

Here -- I'll help you.
I hereby ban you from all guns. You may never own one, handle one, or stare longingly at one.
The rest of us who don't want bans, however, are free to own and bear arms (within the law, of course).
Need a federal ban, with harsh penalties for anyone violating it.
Ban GUNS!
Nah, eventually attrition would solve the problem.
And dismissed.
For a cost of around $5000 or so, I can purchase equipment to produce gun parts while I sleep. And the price for 3 D printers and CNC drops every day.
They would want someone else, not them of-course, to go house to House confiscating all firearms. It is the only way they would feel safe, and after all aren't their feelings more important than our Rights.
Thankfully they will never achive their wet dream.
really? do you know how many machine shops and people who know how to run milling machines, lathes and drill presses there are in the USA? Home machine shops are more sophisticated than what was turning out Tommy Guns and BARs almost 100 years ago. Ever heard of a 3D printer? Do you think the rest of the world is going to stop making firearms? Do you think the federal and state governments are going to recall and stop issuing firearms to their employees?
There is still the problem of making the ammunition which requires making the powder which you need proper chemistry to be able to do.
And we can regulate that
Alright so than why not let people get whatever guns they want without any regulations and just have bullet control?
And this was in New Jersey which has among the strictest gun laws in the country. Just goes to show you that strict gun laws don't work in reducing violent crime.
Thank God nobody was killed except one of the suspects.
That and Chicago provide irrefutable evidence that gun bans don't and won't work, as criminals and nutters won't care to violate existing gun banning laws that in place already now. More laws going to change this? The criminals and nutters still obtain their firearms through illegal manners, laws against that be dammed.
It doesn't make sense or follow any logic that a federal gun bad would achieve any different results than we have seen in real life.
Some people appear to be basing their belief that a federal gun ban would magically have the desired results are based purely on their feelings and not any sort of reasoning or logic.
Agreed. To stop a bad person with a gun you need to have a good person with a gun that shoots him. This too has been proven time and again in real life and reality.
Wasn't it you, a few months ago, that was adamantly claiming you didn't want to ban guns? Or was that a different Calamity.
At least you've started being honest.
Then do so.....and become a wanted man
I wouldn't do it. People who pay no attention to the law would. Which underscores the problem.
Except it works in those countries
Which countries? I didn't mention countries.
My apologies. I meant that post for another thread
