Another Brit talking head we don't need to hear from

So we had a quote from Neil Ferguson here recently, yet another Brit talking head that we really don't need to hear from.

This morning we hear from Ed Luce, yet another Brit talking head this time claiming that the Chinese Government is going to lose the support of thee Chinese People over the COVID origin controversy.

Really Ed. In what world is that going to happen or matter if it does? Checked the streets of Hong Kong lately Ed? The Chinese People are going to do WHAT exactly if they are unhappy about this particular controversy?

Honestly can these Brits PLEASE restrict themselves to commenting about America to their home British audiences. I am fine that. I don't need the British WASP talking head take on America here in America. We have enough American WASP talking heads with said head stuffed up their buttholes yammering obliviously while in the same breath claiming THEIR VOICES ARE BEING MUZZLED.

Yes, just as soon as Americans quit commenting on what goes on in other countries. Deal? It may have escaped your notice but this is an international forum and, as far as I can tell, there are no restrictions placed on which nationality is allowed to post.

If American Correspondents are commenting on issues of importance to those "other countries" in those other countries, I would agree. They should sit down and shut up. If they are commenting to American audiences about those other countries, the traditional role of the Foreign Correspondent, that is fine. I doubt those citizens of other countries that have welcomed American Correspondents need to hear Americans commenting to them about issues important to them. I fail to see the logic or the value of Foreign Correspondents commenting on the country for which they are temporarily assigned to those who have welcomed them as if they had any earthly idea what the hell they were taking about. THEY DON'T.

In our country I think it is motivated by an attraction to a British Accent, an utterly ridiculous American fascination with the Royals and a desire to revisit Monarchy generally. Never mind that Monarchy no longer rules in Britain. Close enough for your garden variety current American's understanding for about anything you might want to mention. Monarchy is basically Autocracy by hereditary succession. Some of us in America seem hell bent on Minority Rule and Minority Rule and Autocracy taken to their least common denominators ain't all that different. Minority Rule is just a path to Autocracy or Kleptocracy or Oligarchy or any of the other popular "ocracies" that happen to simply be fancy language to describe Dictatorship or in some cases Fascism.

Do any of us think that if Fat Donnie had his way he would not eventually have had military regalia designed for himself so he of Corporal Bone Spurs fame could strut around on the 4th of July like a peacock at his own personal parade?

One really does not have that option. That is the road to the windowless silo. However one has to be able to separate the trash such as "Democrats are blood guzzling child molesters running their heathen operations out of the basements of Pizza Parlors" from reality.

It's not the road to a windowless anything. It's an intentional choice to select the windows which give the best view. If you're looking out the basement window and bitching about the view, I suggest selecting a better window.

Ferguson is an epidemiologist who read the impact of Covid far sooner than the UK government, (which has done even worse than Trump!) and Luce predicted that following his defeat, we could look forward to ninety days of Trump smashing the crockery. Were they wrong?

Actually its Niall Ferguson.....Scottish Historian who has been Brit talking head commenting on America and who's comments have become remarkably predicable. Goggle picked up NEIL Ferguson, Historian which NEIL is not. NEIL Ferguson is an epidemiologist as you noted. That is what I get for trusting a Google search to verify spelling.

As for Ed Luce, Donald Trump is the most predictable politician in American History. I don't think predicting that Trump would smash crockery was hard to predict. Did anybody think Donald would go quietly into the night? Has Donald ever gone quietly into the night?

As for Ed predicting that the Chinese People losing confidence in the Chinese Government is concerned, I doubt they will and if they do, I very seriously doubt anything will come of it. So what the hell is Ed talking about? Is he just flapping his gums to flap?

In truth, my real complaint is the same one I have expressed in these pages before. The 24/7's have NEVER had 24/7 worth of news to present to us and can rarely cobble together four hours of news that they just keep repeating all day long until they get to the pure entertainment hours from 6pm to 12pm. When they are down to giving Brit talking heads time to speak to Americans about issues important to Americans, they are really down to rock bottom.

As for the whole issue of COVID's origin and efforts to gain a definitive answer, the Chinese already told Trump to go shit in his hat and are telling Biden the same thing. 90 days for US Intel to come up with an answer??? PLEASE Joe. Get real. Best we will get is an assessment with varying degrees of confidence, probably not greater than medium which in Government parlance means a "for shit" assessment. What else are they going to get in a mere 90 days without serious Chinese cooperation which they obviously are not going to get. They are not even going to get covert Chinese cooperation of any import IMO.

If we really want anything near a definitive answer, we will have to recreate everything the Chinese have already buried or the Chinese are going to have to change their MO and turn over a new leaf. That is a scientific research project. Even if they were allowed to do it, expect two years before you get anything out of it.

Actually I tend to listen or watch all of it, including IDIOT Tucker Carlson. THAT is the true window in the basement along with the rest of FAUX's "entertainment" programming and OAN.

The whole Covid origin controversy is going nowhere. Barely reported on in China. The most popular conspiracy theory on Covid's origin on Chinese social media (not officially backed by the CCP of course, but it wouldn't be trending if they weren't unofficially backing it) is that the CIA did it.
