Anonymous Hackers Warn Supreme Court Against Overturning Roe vs. Wade: 'Expect Us'

Any illegal action outside the democratic process must be punished severely. It harms us all. Remember the terrorist attacks on planned parenthood.

How would you feel if a presidential candidate encouraged a foreign county to hack the Supreme Court, and then used what was hacked on the campaign?

That would be treason.

I didn't think it would be so hard for you to follow the points. The points:

1. January 6th was an insurrection.

2. Claiming this is just like January 6th is such a hopelessly ****ing stupid attempt at a *gotcha* that you should immediately quit posting on the internet.

Just using your criteria for trying to overturn a branch of government. Or just a beer summit. Your choice, pick one.

It is not a matter of degree.

Of course it is.

Sometimes you need to play dirty. The Republicans clearly aren't concerned with doing so.

Yes, I see you have a bad case of myopia, blind to tyranny you don't think is tyranny. You could do well as one of the Chinese propagandists who goes around denying any problems with the CCP.

My opinions here on DP on the Chinese gov't would prove you totally wrong!

Then it will only escalate and we all lose our democracy. If you don't follow the rules you can never hold the other side accountable.

Perhaps you have missed that things are already escalating and that a solid portion of conservative America would gladly give up democracy if it meant staying in power.

Only the extremists on both sides The middle majority still believe in Democracy.

A vast majority of Republican voters, like 80% say they agree with Trump’s unsubstantiated claims that the election was stolen.

They are not believers in democracy.

That ship sailed when McConnell corrupted the confirmation process.

No, that's you, cheering on the hacking of our gov't.

Maybe they saw the response to Jan 6th and was like oh if we get caught we will get a slap on the hand..
How clever of you. But two wrongs don't make a right.

If this bothers you so badly, what will you do when the red states attempt another succession?

For another 10 years or so after that civil war is coming.

Not if we support the middle and compromise. Every time you support an extreme position or candidate you encourage division. Become an independent and vote for the moderate candidate of either party.

In this case, one who supports a woman's right to control her own body.

"... if you lived through the 5–4 party-line decision to award the 2000 election to George W. Bush over Al Gore and still thought the Court was somehow sacred, I have an infrastructure bill’s worth of bridges to sell you. But while the elite reverence for and credulity about the judiciary was wrongheaded back then, it’s simply untenable now that a supermajority of the Court consists of trained right-wing ideologues. The repeal of Roe will be neither the first nor the last major decision this Court takes that upends laws a majority of Americans have assumed were permanent. Given Democrats’ grim outlook for this year’s midterm elections, President Biden’s persistent unpopularity, and the GOP’s extensive and largely unchecked efforts to permanently entrench minority rule in Washington, there’s no reason to think that our existing political institutions can adequately check the Roberts Court or that its composition will align any closer with public opinion on issues like abortion in the foreseeable future.

The one thing the Court apparently can’t control, however, is how much the public knows about its deliberations. The leaker — whoever it is and whatever their motivations — has done a public service, both by giving Americans who support reproductive rights a head start on mobilizing for a post-Roe legal order and by damaging the Court’s mystical aura of legitimacy at precisely the moment when it deserves to be damaged. If the Court is going to function as a partisan institution, then the public should know at least as much about how it works as we know about any other branch of government."

Well put.

Empty threat from stupid people.

Not quite as empty as one might think.
Ask around.
Not that I can say results are consistent but judging from the most recent document dumps, there've been some spectacular hauls.

The compromise that a super majority would support is "choice until the third trimester and then the life of the mother". The two parties and the extremists that control them prevent that compromise.

Umm....is it really a good idea to be threatening a gov't institution like that?
Biden and his cabal will look the other way. They are collectively ginning up their jackboots.

Not if we support the middle and compromise. Every time you support an extreme position or candidate you encourage division.
You are wrong for 2 reasons. The divisions are inherent, the meme about the left moving farther left is more correct than most understand, as well in many cases being fundemental and not able to be compromised on. As time goes on the younger generations take hold and their views begin to take hold. Those 18 now will be 28 ten years from now and their cohort will begin to leave its mark. When looking at the polls the divide between "left" and "right" widens and that trend seems to be continueing for a number of reasons. You see it best with the Parental rights bill Florida just passed and the reaction to it. You would think that the mere act of reading the bill would calm things down. It doesnt. Basically the fight comes down to the left wanting to talk to children about subjects that in any other setting would get them tossed in jail in any other circumstance, and the parents going over my dead body. There is no compromise to be had.

Is your outrage equal when it's government violating the provisions of the 4A and 9A?
The revelation of SCOTUS' next rulings on Roe constitute not only that but also sets up an environment where numerous state governments are empowered to threaten private citizens, and even their businesses, for much less than abortion.

Anyway...IS IT a good idea? Perhaps not, but talk to Anonymous, not me. I am not in the group.
I suspect you won't get an answer however.
