Nothing like a few cut and paste jobs to put into your manuscript, except that she is using someone else's ideas and sentences as her own.

Article is here.

In other news, Advertising Age Magazine has asked Ann to kill herself. Good idea. I'll even chip in a few bucks to help out such a good cause. :)

Not again? You think he would have learned from the first time.

That's not a cut and paste, it's two people speaking of the same factual event. Should she change the facts.

Geez argue substance not style.

As to th second, so much for free speech I guess.

She should have put the statement in quotes, and then cited the source in a footnote. However, it's really as much of a mistake on the part of her editors (who really have their work cut out for them with her) than it is on her part.

Editor? Dan has editors? That's hard to fathom...

Here are some of noted transexual plagiarist Dan Coulters previous transgressions. This stuff is pretty disgusting reading.

Much of Coulter's Jun. 29, 2005 column, “Thou Shall Not Commit Religion,” bears a striking resemblance to pieces in magazines dating as far back as 1985—and a column written for the Boston Globe in 1995.

/snip

The piece was first questioned by The Rude Pundit on Jul. 1. His post noted that Coulter appeared to have cribbed from a defunct 1993 magazine called The Flummery Digest.

Coulter : "A photo of a newborn infant with its mouth open titled to suggest the infant was available for oral sex."

The Flummery Digest: "The title of a photo of a newborn infant with its mouth open suggested that the infant was available for oral sex."

Coulter: "A photo of a woman breastfeeding an infant, titled ' Jesus Sucks.'"

The Flummery Digest: "… photograph of a woman breastfeeding an infant was titled 'Jesus Sucks.'"

Coulter: "A show titled 'DEGENERATE WITH A CAPITAL D' featuring a display of the remains of the artist's own aborted baby."

The Flummery Digest: "'Degenerate with a Capital D'...included 'Alchemy Cabinet' by Shawn Eichman, featuring the remains of the artist's own aborted baby."

Coulter: "Performance of giant bloody tampons, satanic bunnies, three-foot feces and vibrators."

The Flummery Digest: "[T]he performance art of Johanna Went...relies upon props such as giant body tampons, satanic bunnies, three-foot turds, and dildos."

The she appears to lift directly from one written by Boston Globe columnist Jeff Jacoby in 1995 for the same column.

Coulter: "...inserting a speculum into her vagina and inviting audience members on stage to view her cervix with a flashlight."

Jacoby: "...inserted a speculum into her vagina and called up audience members to examine her cervix with a flashlight..."

Coulter: "Christ submerged in a jar of urine."

Jacoby: "...photographs of a crucifix submerged in his urine..."

The 1992 MIT-based magazine Counterpoint included similar items.

Coulter: "A photo of a newborn infant with its mouth open titled to suggest the infant was available for oral sex."

Counterpoint: 3. (1984) "The title of a photo of a newborn infant suggested the infant was available for oral sex."

Coulter: "A show titled 'DEGENERATE WITH A CAPITAL D' featuring a display of the remains of the artist's own aborted baby."

I guess that sort of makes sense in a weird way.

Ann does a good job stirring up the collectivists among us.
She frequently blasts republicans also, especially when their collectivist motives
start showing.

I enjoy her articles because they cause folks to run around, spitting and hissing, boasting about their own clear mindedness and civility, which is quite amusing.

Many posters on this board frequently sling their little insults and engage in similar animated discourse, yet find time to whine about her. She mannages to make a good living at it, while they don't. I think that is a hoot.

Also, she is HOT. just joking !

Asking someone to kill themselves is a cruel thing to do and is quite typical of people on the far left. They often resort to such viscious attacks.

It's really amazing how the mainstream media is picking apart Ann's comments and how they frequently ignore things said from people on the left.

There is a big difference though. Both sides have their share of nut jobs. Nut jobs on the far left are for the most part ignored by mainstream liberals and progressives. Nut jobs on the far right though are completely embraced by many Republicans.

Coulter is the scum of the Earth. And her apologist supporters?? What can ya say?

Birds of a feather...........

They need to go stand in the corner over there with the Moore supporters. Apples and oranges maybe, but they're all still fruits.:rofl

Yeah, whatever.

Ok, lets just compare Al Franken and Micheal Moore on the left, with Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity on the right.

Al Franken and Micheal Moore write books that blast conservative political leaders and many conservative policies. However, they don't call conservatism itself evil, and they both in their books recognize that many conservatives are good people who just have a different viewpoint

Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity write books that call liberalism an evil ideology and liberals godless people.

I am certainly no fan of Micheal Moore, but in terms of basic decency, he is certainly a step up from the narcissistic, sociopath, hatemongering Ann Coulter. At least Micheal Moore limits his attacks to individuals, and not hatemongering an entire ideology. Personally, I am a Christian and a somewhat left leaning person. I find the entire premise behind her latest book to be extremely offensive. The woman obviously lacks even the most basic semblance of a conscience. However, those who would defend her hatemongering are absolutely shameless individuals.

We're not arguing whether franken or moore or coulter are nut jobs. You asserted that both sides have their fair share of nut jobs. Further you asserted that these nut jobs were ignored by mainstream liberals while republicans were unable to do the same. That is a rediculous assertion and puts your speech in no higher regard than what you accuse her of.

I guess when you do it, you are just asserting truth, but when she does it, she is spewing hate. Is that the new rules of fairness, liberals can insult a whole group's collective intellect, while others cannot ? Spare me with your christian conscience BS.

Ann Coulter?

I didn't know she was that prevalent anymore. I figured most people would have written her off by now as being a partisan hack.

Al Franken is no better. Does anyone listen to Air America anymore? Franken bashes conservatives all the time. I personally think he is a moron, but he is still a step up above Randi Rhodes, which isn't really saying much.

That is not the case at all. When has Michael Moore ever or Al Franken ever seriously called all conservatives evil? Never. They never have. However, Coulter, calls liberals evil all the time. Her and Hannity use the term liberal like a Klansman would use the N-Word. I don't like Michael Moore, I don't think he is a great guy or anything, but I do think that as bad as he is, Coulter is exponentially worse.

All one has to do as a conservative writer is a write a book that calls liberals evil and unchristian, demonizes gays and lesbians, and demonizes environmentalists and peace activists, calling them all evil, and they will sell books.

If one says that conservatives are evil, they are spewing hate. If one says that liberals are evil, they are spewing hate. There is no truth in such statements. It is simply hatemongering. I am sure that if one read Hitlers writings, they would find some facts presented, but just the same, in the end it was nothing but spewing hate. The same is true for the writings of Ann Coulter. If someone wants to sit here and defend her calling Liberals Godless, thats fine, but its shamefull to do so.

Alright, I watched the Al Franken election day show on Sundance, so don't try to pretend like Al Franken is all respectful of the opposition, considering that he refered to the red states as "the dumb states".

I don't think he is respectful of the opposition at all. As to calling the red states the dumb states, that was sarcasm. However, he has never referred to conservatism as an evil ideology. He has never called conservatives evil. He has never called them godless. That is the difference. He has many conservative friends and does not hate people simply because they are conservative. Ann Coulter quite literally hates liberals simply because they are liberal.

I'm not defending her.
I'm calling you out for your rediculous assertion that liberals can ignore the far left nut jobs while the republicans are unable to do the same for the right wing nut jobs. You're not suffering from a little superiority complex are you? This wholesale categorization of a groups collective intellect is exactly the type of behavior you have just been criticizing Coulter for. You are just like her. POT MEET KETTLE

Randi Rhodes sure has no problem with it.

It goes both ways.

Sure, she is nothing but a hatemongerer. However, how many people listen to her show every day compared to how many conservatives read Coulter's books?

Oh I get it, Coulter's writing is not sarcasm or satire.

Name a liberal writer who routinely calls Conservatives evil simply because they are conservative and who calls Conservatism an evil ideology that actually sells books.

I cannot think of anyone. The closest I can think of would be Micheal Moore, however, I cannot think of any examples where he simply expressed a hatred for anyone who was not liberal. Sure, the guy is not a good person. Sure, he has slandered and twisted the truth about conservative leaders, but he has never refered to conservatism and everyone how leans conservative as evil.

Basically, you have both sides that both fairly and unfairly attack the ideological leaders of the other side. However, you only have one side that calls the other side evil and godless simply because of their ideology and that actually has a market spewing such hate.

I think she is many times sarcastic. However, does anyone honestly believe that Al Franken believes all conservatives are stupid simply because they are conservative? He himself has said otherwise.

Ann Coulter by her own statements honestly believes that liberals are evil and that liberalism is an evil ideology.

Al Franken is an asshole, Ann Coulter is a hatemongerer.

you are a liberal. You are a writer, of many posts anyway. You just categorized a whole group of people as being of insufficient intelligence to see through far right "nut jobs". You too engage in animated inflamatory speech. Congratulations, you too are now a hatemongerer.

Do you have any other "my **** doesn't stink" arguements ?

Throwing utter nonsense via namecalling into a debate is quite typical of Bush supporters. They often resort to such innanity. For instance:

1) The remarks asking Ann to kill herself were made by Advertising Age Magazine.

2) Advertising Age Magazine has about as much in common with the far left as a tugboat has in common with a freeway.

Next thing you know, ol' George Washington will be calling Barry Goldwater a far left Liberal. :rofl

I never said that all Republicans are too stupid to see through the far right nut-jobs. There are lots of Republicans who do not like Ann Coulter. Just the same, her books sell very well with many conservatives. That is a fact. I am not hatemongering. I do not believe that conservatism is an evil ideology. I do not believe that conservatives are evil simply because of their ideology. I simply think that liberals and conservatives both love their country yet have different notions as to what is best for it.

Ann Coulter honestly believes that liberalism is an evil ideology. Ann Coulter honestly believes that liberals are evil and godless simply because of their ideology. Ann Coulter honestly believes that liberals hate America.

There is simply no comparison and if you find a prominent liberal writer who holds the same type of beliefs that Ann Coulter professes and I will be the first to condemn them and anyone who reads their books.
