What irritates me is that Ann Coulter is a cynical hate monger making money dividing our country! She doesn't honestly criticize and debate ideas she disagrees with. She uses prejudice, labeling, name calling and hate to entertain her followers and make lots of money! I disagree with some others thinking, but I would never stoop the judgemental prejudice she has for Liberals. As I've said before, the prejudicial scapegoating approach she takes has been seen through history and it often signals the beginning of an attack on democracy. When dictatorial despots want to end democracy in a country they usually select a group to scapegoat and call them godless, stupid, immoral, perverted, dishonest and traitorous with their judgemental mouthpieces like Ann Coulter! (Her name calling on CSPAN) That's not exaggeration. That's history! I suspect when that happens many will be saying all the people like me deserve to be taken away as a danger to the country. This country hasn't suspended the Bill of Rights, due process and Habius Corpus rights for Al Qaeda members. They've suspended them for Americans with many people's approval. Under the Patriot Act any of us can be picked up and imprisoned for any period of time without constitutional rights. We can have all our personal property searched and seized without warrant and it is a felony for us to even tell anyone it has occurred. The CIA is kidnapping people off the street and using rendition to have them tortured by specialists in "Black Prisons" around the world. A Canadian was just released after months only due to complaints of his government. A German tourist picked up off the street and flown in a U.S. military plane to be held in some hole in Eastern Europe for 10 months and then just dumped on a dirt road when they finally decided he was innocent of any wrong doing. Large numbers of Muslims have been held in GITMO for years and then released with no charges and no explanation! If they were dangerous terrorists they should have been tried rather than released! I'm for it! If they were not, then we are the terrorists aren't we! We won't even talk about what's being done in Iraq and in Afghanistan and being documented everywhere but in the U.S.! That's the kind of fascist country the Ann Coulters want! We, the so called godless, stupid, immoral, perverted, dishonest and traitorous Americans don't! So she makes us the enemy and divides the country! Read the biography of Osama Bin Ladin and see how he has planned all this! Our arrogant, stubborn, incompetent, NeoCon leaders are being led step by step down the road he's mined for us!

The angry smears from #1 might be validated if everything in #2 weren't comical, hysterical misrepresentations.

Wanting to be able to detain the enemy (terror suspects) without having to dance around the rights intended for mere criminals is not violating the Constitution. Wanting to listen to their calls doesn't violate any right to privacy. Keeping tabs on their library books in no way violates anyone's constitutional rights.

The irony here is you've responded to Ann Coulter with exactly the kind of gross butchering of the facts and constitutional illiteracy Ann Coulter criticizes liberals for engaging in. :lol:

I researched Frankens book,Lies of the Right... for a media research project and nearly everything he had to say about Coulter was a distortion or an outright fabrication.

A typical example of an honest Franken criticism of Republican "liars" is this (from the aforementioned book):

Ann Coulter misused Lexis Nexis to make the media look biased. His proof? In making a side point, she claimed that the media completely ignored an incredibly bigoted smear speech by Jesse Jackson against the U.S. She backed this up by stating that there was not one result returned for a search containing the keywords "Jackson," "South Africa," and "nazis."

Franken deliberately omitted that critical context when making the claim that Coulter does crappy research and that she's a liar. He made it look like Coulter just pulled those search words right out of thin air, but doesn't explain that those words were the most inflammatory part of Jackson's speech, hence that those words were perfectly sensible search criteria.


Furthermore, Franken avoids any mention of Coulter's devastating mountains of evidence against the media in that book to criticize irrelevant crap like her driver's license and to hysterically portray her as dishonest for calling her extensive references "footnotes"-the same thing every major media source called her notes. :roll:

But strangely, Ann Coulter provides tons and tons of proof to back up her claims (her books are a jaw-dropping arsenal against the left's arguments, and her facts check out), and every time a liberal makes the kind of claim you have made here-that she just spews hate with no facts to back her arguments up-they are easily proved wrong....and it is the liberals complaining about her who can be proved guilty of what they say she does.:doh

Sweeping generalizations are ok when the facts support them. I can say that Asians are better students than blacks even though there are exceptions. The vast majority of Asians are on the top of every kind of intelligence indicator and blacks are just as consistently at the bottom.

On Fridays on PBS Shields and Brooks calmly discuss politics from both sides. A person can learn from this type of reasonable sparring, but not from the lib/con bull.

Hmm... So, how long have you been holding that remark within? Your "generalization" wasn't such, rather truth you feel trepidation towards in allowing it not to be flourish thu your mouth publicly.

If a student is failing in school that situation shouldn't be dictated by the typical ethnicity rather individually. If you wish to make another "generalization", please provide all parties involved and not just the ones, you find some form of bias towards.

Educating young minds and old ones shouldn't consist of viewing those human beings in a collective disposition but assisting in allowing individuals to further empower themselves.

One of the sad problems of media is the limitations from naive Americans toward viewing truths and facts from different angles, rather than the typical ones viewed from those entertainers and other partial first amendment predators.

During President’s Bush administration, different angles of truths and facts have been expelled for assumptions, perceptions, and generalizations that have been proven of a horrible liability in America rather than a profound positive.

I hold a lot of media predators responsible for allowing truths and facts to be avoided for words that will enhance their careers rather than, properly informing their viewers and or supporters as instructed.
